I recommend going to the post called "Sticky: The Morrowind Yellow Pages" and look for a section covering Vampires. However I will give you some brief information about what you are about to get into. First of all, lets start with contracting the 'disease'. To contract you must be hit by a vampire with melee weapon or in hand to hand combat. This may take some time to contract the disease, but once you do you sleep 3 days, and viola your a vampire. Second, when you are a vampire you can not use any services (correct me if im wrong with specifics) however I believe the mages guild will talk to you... The guards however will attack you if you try to speak to them so beware. Also, another negative is that you take constant damage from being in the sun so you will have to travel at night or during overcast days. Thirdly, when you are a vampire you get multiple stat bonuses... which will be shown by a website in the post mentioned above. I would definitely, if you still want to become a vampire, be biten by one under one of the three houses. Quarra, Berne, and Aunde. As soon as you contract the disease DO NOT KILL THE VAMPIRE. Next, do not quickly sleep, instead get to a town and get as close to the headquarters of the House Vampire name that you have selected. Vampires can be found in caves as well as ancestral tombs. I, others may disagree, would not become a vampire until I have a bountiful amount of supplies IE potions etc etc etc Scrolls, another form of 'fast travel' CE speed items etc. Thus you may want to become a vampire after you have gained a few levels of experience... on the upside, along with the stat bonuses for just being a vampire, each house has its own bonuses specific to Stealth/Combat/Magik. Just be sure that you want to make the dedication to being lonely for a long.. long... long time.. Hope this helps... Happy Hunting!

In some of my games my chars contracted the disease when looting the corpses of dead vampires. I know I wasn't hit by them because I use a bow to waste them from a good distance. I believe it is similar to how you can sometimes contract blight or a common disease while looting the body of a sick beast you've slain. Another way to become a vampire but is with the Illuminated Order mod. I've not done it but it offers you that opportunity at one point in the quests. It probably wouldn't be clan affiliated vampirism though.
