Dreugh armour and the console
Dreugh armour and the console
I have only found the cuirasse, shield and helmet of Dreugh (medium) armour. I had always supposed there were other pieces kicking about, and having heard mention of Dreughs around Gnaar Mok on the Western coast, I was off there to see if I could find some more.
However, When I look at the 'where-it-is' website list, these three armour pieces are the ONLY ones listed for Dreugh armour.
To save me chasing a red herring, does anyone have the console code for, say, one of the Dreugh pauldrons. If I cannot summon it with the console, I can then be pretty sure it doesn't exist. Alternatively, has anyone found pieces of that armour other than the ones I already have anywhere in the game.
Thanks, Kingslake...

Well, I found some Dreugh, they came at me from underneath while I was swimming to the far horizons Northwest of Gnisis.
I never realized they were a swimming creature. I guess I'll not be getting any of that armour from them (they never seem to carry anything).

Unfortunately those are the only three dreugh armor peices in the game. Don't know why they didn't make it a complete set. Dreugh's aren't good for much other than their wax which is good for making either restore health potions or fortify strength potions I think.

Those are DrowOriginally posted by Sir chris
sorry for going off topic but arnt druegh usualy Like dark elven creatures in rpgs and such?
I was actually a bit confused when I first got Morrowind because I mistook the Dark Elves in the game for the Drow of the Balder's Gate series, and of course they are quite different.

I gave a little thought to why there are only the three pieces of Dreugh armour in the game.
As far as I can see, the answer is that these are (I think) the pieces of Ordinator armour that will get you attacked by Ordinators if you wear it.
Since Dreugh armour is the next best medium armour I've found to Ordinator, you can wear Dreugh shield, helmet and cuirasse, the boots of blinding speed, and top off your gear with Ordinator pauldrons, bracers and greaves, and avoid much Ordinator aggro. Can you improve on this? Probably, but I can have fun finding out...

Another idea why there isn't full dreugh armor set: dreugh themselvers couldn't were boots or greaves as they have those octo****y thingies instead of feet. They also couldn't use gauntlets as they have those crab thingies as hands. This theory assumes dreugh armor was made for, or even by, dreugh themselves.

Good theory. I just assumed that the armor was made from the dead bodies (leather) of dreugh because you never find any of this armor on them. Similar to the way netch and chitin armor is made.

Yeah, sure that's what i thought also. That was just possible explanation.
It wouldn't be very probable that dreugh would make armor from dead bodies of their own. It would be the same if people made leather jacket/armor out of dead people's hide (um, like in BG2)

Is it a theology thing?
Is it a theology thing?
I'm sure I read in one of the countless Morrowind books that the Dreugh had made/been forced to make, some Cosmic agreement which carried the penalty that they had to lose their superbly armoured hide.
Oh, and my theory of the Dreugh incomplete armour set being a compensation for those pieces of Indoril you cannot wear without getting attacked by Ordinators, lost power when I found you COULD carry the Indoril shield and talk to Ordinators and not get attacked.

Dreugh armour origin, The Koal shrine
If you go to the Koal shrine, and read the inscription, it is where Vivec defeated the Ruddy Man, and after this it says that Dreugh wax is used to make armour.
