Needing help w/ a Fire Elemental

I have accepted the quest from Samia while looking for Garrins child. I am now at the last guardian (Fire Elemental) & am not just yet strong enough to beat it out right. I need a tip on how to beat it inorder to finish the quest.

Who is in your party? If you are playing solo, what's your class?

In Party

I have Jaheria, Minsc, Cernd, Anomen, Yoshimo. I am a fighter, but i have the special ability to cast 4 spells. I am in the Windspear Hills #3. If you need more info I'll be glad to provide it.

The elemental...

Low spoiler: Have you killed all the Guardians?

Highlight below for more detailed spoiler:
Have you killed all the Guardians (6? 7?) and assembled the mask of King Strahm? this will enable you to fight the elemental. Obviously you want Fire resists, etc. Druid & mage fire elementals are a great choice for this fight, being immune to his fire attacks.

In addition, both Cernd and Anomen can cast the 'protection from fire' spell.
Highlight for spoiler:You don't really need the helmet (although it's more fun to get it). Have Anomen cast 'true sight' just before facing the elemental.

Protection from Fire is the key, as already mentioned by so many others. Cast it on your fighter and you are ready to rock and roll. This fire elemental will be invisible.
I had Keldorn with me, so his True Sight made it easy. Anomen will do the trick nicely though. If you have the complete burial mask that nephtu refers to, you can see it. This mask is wearable by thieves and other non-helmet wearing classes. You should try it.
