Unarmored Dynamics

Post by Bloodthroe »

I'd like to make a monk, but i dont know how unarmored works. Says u can dodge more but if u mix it with other armor does it screw up your dodging? I'd like to know if its good to mix armor with unarmored body parts or if its better to go all the way with unarmored.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

maxed unarmoured is better than most of the weaker armours. i wear a telvanni cephalopod helm for its enchantment capability but although i have light armour maxed, my armour rating is better without it on

better than mixing it with weak armours. probably would have a higher armour rating if you put on glass or ebony though. depends how high your other armour skills are

well if i had 100 on all 4 of the armor classes, would it be better to go all unarmored or better if i mix it with one of the other armor classes like ebony or daedric, or just pieces of armor that are light like forearms or pauldrons?

i dunno. you'd really have to test it
bear in mind, unarmoured will mean you can carry more and you wont have to buy or maintain armour. also will mean you are faster. its the right choice if you are roleplaying a monk anyway

yes i know the character i have now is kind of a rogue/monk i fight with my hands and use most unarmored, but i still have to use my bow or something against harder monsters like skeleton champion and gold saint. but im level 30 and have 100k so i guess ill go save then test. Spending money i dont consider an issue because i dont see a store that sells past steel bonemold or chintin. so im not going to be buying too much armor.

but before i made my monk i was thinking of having him wear light armor forearms, boots, and a torso, if it would help my armor rating and not effect my dodging

I can't help you with your question, but there's a mod which makes being unarmored more interesting. It's on THAT site. Check out the other mods, too. They are worth the effort...

Hum...no. The max level of the unarmored skill is 100, but with that level the maximum armor class you can have is 65. Or did I get you wrong...?

uhh thnx that helps, only getting 65 for unarmored isnt as much as armored but then again ur supposed to dodge more, i'll look into it.

And you can wear that stylish and fashionable stuff! Nothing can beat this! ;)

BTW, there's no connection between such a thing like dodging and the unarmored skill, unless you use the mod mentioned a couple of posts above. Without the mod you'll reach an armor class of 65 when you have your unarmored skill at level 100 and that's it.

intresting, well i guess ill just wear armor thats fashionable, like gauntlets and boots, so long as it doesnt lower my armor rating by adding armor to my unarmored. becuz i still want to be a monk.

thnx for all your help, :o thing now is i have to get a full suit of ebony, daedric and glass and then buy all my armors up to 100 and see whats the best combo... before i make my monk. i dont really care about the rare items in the game, i figure ill be strong enough with just the regular
