Magicka restoring ingrediants?

Post by Sir chris »

There i was face to face with a golden saint blasting away with my Inferno Fireball technquie when all of a suden:

You do not have enough Magicka to cast this spell

or whatever then i search my inventory for a restore magicka potion and all i come up with is about 20 diffrent types of restore heath potions and no restore magicka....

ok most of you are thinking big deal pull out a sword and wack'em over the head a few times but im basicly a pure mage only weapon i have on me is my Deadric Dia-Katana wich i found on the ground a while back and never got around to dumping it some where and my longblade skill is only 15......

so I was wondering do any of you know were i can get some ingrediants for restoe magicka potions?

P.S. I have 100 in alchemy and 96 in intelligents so alchemy is no problem for me  :D

Restore Magicka Ingredients:

*Comberry
*Daedra's Heart
*Frost Salts
*Void Salts

As you can tell, most of these involve fighting daedra, so you may want to try buying the ingredients commercially if your magicka is drained. :)

There is a decent alchemist at Sadrith Mora, you may want to try there. There might also be somebody about that sells a restore magicka potion, often temples are a good bet.
You could also try Aljira, the khajiit downstairs in the Balmora mage's guild, she sells some raw ingredients. If you have joined the mage's guild, and especially if you have completed some of Aljira's quests, you'll have a pretty good disposition with her, which means better prices.

If on a PC,
If absolutely all else fails and you are pulling your hair out trying to regain your magic abilities, as a last resort the CLUA code is, highlight to read:

'player -> AddItem "p_restore_magicka_e" 3'
note, I wrote in "3", but obviously it is whatever number you need.

Or, you could try stealing some stuff if your sneak skill is decent enough. Alternatively, why not try raising some cash by making some potions with readily available ingredients. For example... kagouti hides and cliff racers are good for levitate potions which fetch a pretty decent price. Just save before you create the potions in case they fail.

Finally, if you are playing with a PC there are also some good house mods that come complete with an entire grandmaster's alchemy set and a supply chest with 50 of every ingredient found on the main island. (if you are interested, see my post in the 'home sweet home thread' for more details :) )
