Nalia and her castle
Nalia and her castle
I can't dicide, Nalia or Viconia? It would be fun to have Viconia in my party (a little spice makes anything taste better), but Nalia has been with me for quite a while (I'm in chap. 6), and I feel a certin loyalty to her (I know, it's only a game, but...). Does she ever get her castle back? It would make the dicision easier. Or is there something else I should be considering?
at that point stick with Nalia then ditch her for Viconia if you're playing through a second time. By ch. 6 that's the party you should stick with because catching any other lower level characters up to where you are would be tricky if not impossible unless you left most of the sub quests from Ch. 2 alone until later.
No,no. I mean I already cleared the place of trolls. Then we all go back to town, get drunk, kill a few badies, etc. Then she gose to her pop's funeral, meets up with her arranged marrage guy who tells her to go home or else. Blah, blah, blah. After we dig up the dirt on him, and show it to cityhall, they say they will see what they can do about her getting her castle back for her. At least that's what I got out of the whole thing. Is there any more, or does it end there?
After Isea gets busted for slaving then his father eventually comes to the castle and threatens to take the land away from you, although I've never seen it happen. Appenrently it happened to you while in the Underdark which, no offense, has me laughing my head off.
Basically for there I don't know what to tell you other than to try sneaking into the castle on the left hand side through the secret entrance you used when going in against the trolls. Otherwise, the strategy guide on this site may have an answer for you. And what would a direct assault do?

Ah well. You win some, You lose some. Back to how this all started, Nalia or Viconia? If I take Vic, she starts one level below Nalia. What would the pros and cons be for going with Viconia?
You know, this is kind of silly. *I'm* suppose to be playing this game to see what happens. Right?
Still, please reply about any pros & cons.
And thanx for your time so far!!

Not a problem; I enjoy ansering questions I know the answers to . Besides, I dug Viconia for personality plus she's a pure cleric which means some nice spells when she gets high in levels. Don't combine her with Keldorn though; bad things may happen.
Nalia's a good mage, decent arrow slinger, but there are better of both. Of course, with Viconia in your party your rep is automatically docked by 2 and she leaves if your rep hits 19, so you take a chance either way. It's your call in the end, so take my advice for what you will.

If you're not a fighter I don't think you get the option to keep the keep (*ahem*) after you clear the trolls out. Nalia quits the place for a life of freedom and adventuring with you. I dumped her at the copper coronet - hah!

I have been playing Viconia for awhile and man is she a bitch in battle. I equipped her with the Ogre Gloves of Strength (raises stregth to 18/00), and the Flail of Ages. As a cleric, she advances levels very quickly and learns spells fast. Currently, she is at level 14 and casts 7th level spells, including Finger of Death. She isn't that great first, but once she gets momentum, watch out, baby!!! Also, she can cast the resurrection spell, which prevent you from having to run back to a temple at bad times, and doesn't require that a VERY (I think it's around 10k gp) expensive Rod of Resurrection be purchased. You won't be dissapointed!!!

Armigan - skald NG
Imoen - mage/thief NG
Minsc - ranger CG
Jaheira - fighter/druid TN
Aerie - cleric/mage LG
Viconia - cleric NE
My group rep. is 17. What happens when it gets to high, does Viconia just up and split or will she let you know that you're too good for her before hand?

Good. I can work on that now.
1st thing. you are playing a good party. Viconia is good but for a evil party. Because of the reputation is going to be leave when it get about 19 (you are doing the good deeds aren´t you).
2nd If you are not romancing her well give her the boot (or she will leave when you get a too good reputation)
3rd Besides what everyone tells, aerie is a nightmare spellcaster if you give her the robe of vecna (Belive me she IS).
4th A lot of people complaint about amoen but he is the cleric for good align party. He is a bit (A.K.A. a lot) Arrogant but you
have less problems whit him that her on high reputation.(he is also the romance for the girls and if EVER find out ho is the responsible for that...)
5th Nalia is a good Mage, but so is Imoen and Imoen is a better thief that Nalia.
6th This is only a guide for you to make your decision, In this game there is no Right Path to take.you can do whatever you wish. I am Current playing whit a party composition not very different from yours. (I´m still on chapter 2 doing all subquests included NPC specific quest HE HE HE)
7th if you want to lose Reputation (For viconia) be a little Evil Kill a peasant it should go down like the WATERWORLD box office recipes.
