Generally it's good to have team with at least three strong, melee combat oriented characters, that engage enemy in hand to hand combat - fighter, paladin (who is quite usefull when dealing with undead), barbarian - whatever you like. Other then that you 'll need thief, and wizard or sorcerer, who is very weak in the begining, but in time he become quite powerfull. Perhaps a cleric who provide a healing, but I never use this class in my team so it's up to you. Beside that I recomend that every character has one ranged weapon, it really helps to thin out enemies before they come closer. That would be all for a good start. Good luck with your team. :)

Hmm, I can give you my party, a pretty decent and balanced party IMO (though not a likely adventurer company I would think, but that's why I made it anyway :D ), although I cheezed the attribute scores alittle :D

1. Male Duergar Paladin/fighter :p
2. Female Half-orc monk
3. Female Aasimar Cleric
4. Female halfling druid
5. Male Drow Necromancer
6. Male Rock-gnome rogue/illusionist named Jan Jansen of course.

the two mages use ranged weapons, while the other four serves as tanks.

Yes, that's true, but you can simply make another character talk with the npc when you know that you are going to get a reward.

Ok thanx all i decided to make a team up soo here it goes It's based mainly on David Eddings series

Queen Elhana - (Human) Cleric Battle Guard of Tempus
I'll give her some skill in intimadate, and stuff like that but what else??

The Queens Champion - (The human choice that likes favors the paladin class asimiar or something....?) paladian of the helm/figther
same as above don't know what to give him, but prob something like concetration and such

Spehrina - (think about Elf, or Half Elf for her) Straight Wizard
again iam confused on what skills they all need so help wil be greatful

Talon - Halfling Rouge
Will be a rouge straight, with high dex and higish str for his bow wielding

So thats my first for iam looking at a 6 man party.... what do you think??

any help will help me. thanks tryst

Edit: I was just reading old posts and found out that str is the chance to hit as well as high hard.....? is that right... so i should lower my dex on my Paladin/figther and all the heavy armour types i will have/... does that sound right?

concentration -> this will help you cast spells in combat.

if you have her pegged as the talker, obviously the bluff / intimidate / diplomacy skills. whom ever you select as your primary talker would ideally have those skills

spellcraft if you want to use any elemental feats.

pally's don't cast many spells, you may get more milage out of some backup talking skills, or maybe taking wilderness lore.
Spehrina - (think about Elf, or Half Elf for her) Straight Wizard
again iam confused on what skills they all need so help wil be greatful
concentration - (see above, most important skill for a caster)

spellcraft - this affects your chances to scribe spells, and allows access to the elemental feats (spirit of the flame)

now the item lore skills can be chosen - alchemy & item knowledge - this will allow you to id magic items, and in some cases brew potions that help w/ the plot.

Talon - Halfling Rouge
Will be a rouge straight, with high dex and higish str for his bow wielding

obviously focus on thief skills -

search, disable device (find / remove traps)
pick locks.

i find the stealth & pick pockets skills less useful, they are ok, but there is some flex room there, a rogue can make agreat party talker if you are willing to invest the stat points in charisma ect ect.

So thats my first for iam looking at a 6 man party.... what do you think??

any help will help me. thanks tryst

most of my traditional palladin builds have a dex around 10, sometimes as low as 8.

seems as if you are two char's short.

if you did want a 6 man group :

druid, concentration, spellcraft (only for the elemental feats) and wilderness lore, animal empathy if you have extra skill points. (adds some melee, some healing and some blasting, plus gives you easy access to wilderness lore)

bard or sorc more casting oomph, plus they are easily tailored to fit the role of "primary talker" as cha is already a requirement of their classes. in addition a bard can help withl some thief skills like pick pocket, and can help as a second or third healer in the party, also they can become the party id guy if you have something else in mind for the wizard.

skills vary but include concentration, and limited spellcraft for the sorc.
