Expansions

Post by icelus »

I've recently purchased Morrowind and Tribunal off of eBay, after hearing some great things about the game. I've been hesitant to install them, however, until I've been able to purchase the Bloodmoon expansion, as well.

I know this probably sounds silly, but, since I have a stack of games a mile high that I want to play, and the fact that I'm heavily involved in modding for BG2, but I probably won't have time for more than one run through the game.

So, my question is, is Bloodmoon a decent enough expansion to delay playing the game? Does it enhance the game from the very beginning (introduce engine tweaks, etc), or does it simply add a new... um... quest (for lack of a better word)?

Bloodmoon adds an island in the northwest with a new countryside, buildings, creatures and a different kind of storm (snow-storm). Naturally it adds many quests and a nice plot as well and items and all that. Besides this it adds the same technical stuff Tribunal adds, so you can start playing without Bloodmoon unless you don't want to miss being a werewolf or fighting them...

Hum...you're a modder? BG2, right? Maybe you can take a look at the TES: Construction set? ;)
