Hi everyone.
Well i have a couple questions about Tatooine. But first i want to know if there are a sequence to choose the planets... i mean i need to go first to Tatooine, then to Kashyyyk and then to Manaan? Or not?
Well ..,other question is that when i'm on Tatooine i need 4000 credits for purchase the droid. How can i get 4000 credits? or the 2500 credits for it? I can sell some stuff on my inventory. But i have a little scared about sell to the traders some weapons that i can need it after.
(spoiler!) An option can be to run on the swoop race. But every race cost 100 credits. I use the bike that it was giving to me on Taris. But i always lose. I need some stuff for my bike to run well? Or how can i get more credits?
-thanks-

The planets can be done in any order, but there are different difficulties and Tatooine is one of the easier in my oppinon (Together with Manaan) So doing them first is in my oppinion a good idea if you are new to the game.
Secondly - Swoop racing is a good way to earn money early on - if you can win the races of couse
There is no way to upgrade your Swoop bike, so you have to learn to control it better to win.
If you play on a PC try lowering the resolution to 800x600 and removing all extra graphics for increase respons on the bike.
With a little practice - it isn't terrible hard (well - it isn't for me anymore - Tatooine my average is under 23 sec. now per race when I race there).
Also if you have the PC version of the game (as opposed to the X-Box), then instead of selling stuff at the planet you are on - travel to Yavin because he pays loads more.
For instance - the rewards for Swoop racing on Tatooine is "Racing Bonds" - Each merchant there pays 60 credit for them - but the Yavin merchant pays 140-150 ish. Large difference, and seeing as I've yet to find any time constraint in the game - well there is nothing really lost when flying to Yavin to sell.
Another way to gain money on Tatooine is to go hunting out in the dunes, and sell the loot. There are Wraids (sp?) out in the dunes that you can hunt and sell their head plates. (dosen't pay terrible well - so I recommend Swoop racing)
Hopes this answers your questions - otherwise post back

I like going to Tattooine at level 12 since you get tougher and more challenging sand people ambushes. I tend to prefer doing Kasshyk first since you can get Jolee there. HK 47 is not really necessary to complete the Tattooine quest. Heck, some people have played through the game without ever picking him up as you don't get any LS points or DS points when dealing with the sand people problem. So there is little incentive to get a translator.
However, there really is no limitation on what planet order you want to do. I have experimented several times to see about encountering Calo Nord (he seems easiest to kick butt in Tattooine and Kasshyk) and Bandon on different planets.

You can get the merchant down to 2,500 credits for HK-47, using either Persuade or "aggressive negotiation".
Other good ways to gain money:
* Sell armor and weapons. You only ever need 3 (or at most 4) suits of armor (Carth, Canderous, Mission, plus maybe yourself), so sell all the other ones you find. Some are quite valuable. Likewise with weapons. Only keep enough on hand to kit out your party, with a few spares (like extra vibro-weapons or ion blasters against droids). Sell the rest.
* Have Mission make security spikes for you (on the Ebon Hawk) and sell them. This is tedious, but it does add up. (You can also get Canderous to make stims and Zaalbar to make grenades.)
* Have Mission (or someone) recover all the mines you discover, and sell those.
* Only buy what's really good. Check the other sections of this site (the walkthru, and the items database) to find out which are the best items. Don't buy ANYTHING other than those.
* Play Pazaak. Again, tedious, but it does add up. Esp. when you play the richer guys.
One of my character currently has about 70,000 credits after 4 star maps... and I haven't even really been following all of my own advice.

Well i started on Tatooine and i think that i'm doing well. (I hope so but for other side, i have another question for you guys. When i'm on the dune and i get closer to the turret i use all my weapons with different party members and this turret doesn't suffer any kind of damage. Guess this time what would be my question....
YES!! exactly.
What kind of weapons i used to kill it? Blasters? lightsabers? double lightsabers? melee weapons? grenades? which????
-thanks-
