ok so i wanted to do the valet quest, released him and went to get the book or rituals killed some drows on and released some prisoners who weren't all that friendly on my way to the underdarkdwarf town got to the shopkeep and now book of rituals! talked to every one no book!
then went to the dwarfs where i bought the freedom scroll and no book ( i know it sepossed to be in the town but it wasn't there) went back to valet who walked into some earth elementals right after he got released (really anoying couldn't Q-save in the way up to the town.
but when i talked to him the earth elemental was hitting him and then after the talk and some time the mage just dropped death.
no rod, no skull, no scrolls no nice xp!!! didn't i go to the right dwarf or was it a bug??

It might be a bug, you might want to consider getting Shadow Keeper and adding yourself the book in that case. If you realy want to finish that little quest i mean.
