Moderator? Administrator?
Moderator? Administrator?
I know I might get blamed for asking this, but... What exactly is the difference betwen the Moderator and the Administrator? I mean which is more powerful? For instance, does Fable have more power than Buck Satan? Or are they equal? Cause I've noticed for instance, that Fable has posted alot more over the years than Buck...
Usstan inbal l' uyl'udith ssinssrigg jihard wun l' tresk'ri! ^^ And it's true too hehe
Buck Satan is the administrator and owner of GB
Thus he controls all there is to control in regards of this site and forum. But because Buck is a bussy deity (there is a lot to do to keep up a site of this size in ones free time) he has to have henchmen to do the dirty work of keeping order on the board. That is where the moderators come in.
We moderators have been given some administrative tools to keep the forum clean in accordence with the rules set up by Buck.
The reason why you see us moderators having higher post count and activity then Buck, is due to the fact that we are not only here to keep "order" (so to speak), but also as private persons takeing part in discussions of interest to us.
I hope this answers your questions - otherwise just post again
And btw - not many have ever gotten in trouble of asking simple questions here on GB

Yeah hehe, well we all remember that little insident I had with the Signatures hehe *sweatdrop *
So... who wants to tell me the story of how Game Banshee came to be? ^_^ I'd love to know how Buck created this place, and how he rounded up such a diverse and let's just say excentric group of moderators to his cause

There wasn't really any incident with "the signatures" - just that (most) people didn't think it was a good idea
As for the story of GB - well - all I know is that Buck made the site because he liked RPGs.
The reason many others and myself, came here was due to the immense BG and BG2 material that was located on this site.
And then the friendly and diverse community surrounding this site - which is by far the best I've experienced anywhere else - made many of us stick around.
But the precise history is for Buck to tell.... hmmm. ..... maybe one should write the chronicles of GB down unto "paper"

This thread might help to answer to some of your curiousity.
EDIT: Buck answered to only after 60 or so questions (and spams), and I believe some of them are actually obsolute now.
I may just as well ask new questions.....
