This game

Post by Zubbus »

Hey, I tried the game and I have trouble staying awake.
I'm not dissing the game, just want to know if there are any patches (I guess I saw the post about some 1.4 patch), mods or something in the game to look forward to to make it interesting.

I would very much like to give the game another try but not as much as to play Baldur's Gate II a 4th time, so I wonder what I'm missing.

Have you tried all the games that GameBanshee gives tips and stuff on, the ones listed on the left main page? They're all good, albeit some are better than others.

I kinda agree that this game doesn't really grab my attention. When I play it, I don't really "get into it". I guess it might be the music? During combat, the music is very crappy! It's turn-based, that could be it, but I've played some TB games for hours on end and still wanted to keep playing...

I guess it's the music! I also noticed this game is pretty tough, I kinda get dissuaded when I have to keep reloading like 10x in order to beat some crappy creatures just to get a bit of gold...

I have to agree with Bob - the music is a bit of a drag. However, this doesn't diminish my interest in the game. This is the first game like this I own on my PC and there's a lot to recommend it, even if it seems simplistic to others. I find it to be about as complex as I want it to be right now. Other games (Baldurs Gate series comes to mind) like this may be better in a thousand different ways, but to a newbie like me I think it's just fine. But still, I do wish that the music could be better. Maybe there's a patch ... ?

and when you turn off the sound it makes your game speed faster.
Knowing is only half the game
the other half is understanding
it.
