I have an idea for a new quest. In fact I don't know if some people out there still writing mods for baldursgate or not.but anyway here is my idea:
There are various items in the game which are belogs to Balduran. And when a player wear all of his existing items Balduran's spirit appears and give him a quest. It may be defeating a powerful evil(as a classic) or retrieving a holy artifact from a dungeon. As a reward some xp and the last piece of the Balduran's gear?
What you guys think about that?Unfortunately I am not capable of doing such things but it would be great if someone likes this idea and create a mod?

Idea for a new quest!!

SK shows improved Balduran equipment in the item list, but upon collection of all the Balduran equipment in the game, do these items upgrade? Or are they part of an abandoned quest? Somehow I've not really been able to initiate any spontaneous item upgrade in the game (i.e. non-forged), with the exception of the sword of chaos.

Sounds like you've got the rough sketch of a good idea, Eternal Winter. However, you may need to add some other complexities, which may be from the following.
- A new joinable NPC that can be with your party from that point on. They would need a reason to be there. Perhaps they're investigating on the matter, or hoping to find what you're looking for before you do?
- A special encounter that complicates the quest. In other words, who would be the real antagonist that you must defeat in order to finish this quest?
- A dungeon area, possibly filled with traps and dangerous encounters with monsters. You can never have too much fun by making a challenge, correct?
- Make it involve regular characters from the game, such as a priest, thief, or shopkeeper from certain areas. Other people must have some connection to this for one reason or another.
- Perhaps make it somehow tie in with your character's lineage. This may or may not be a good idea.
I understand if you may not know how to truly make this all come about, because neither do I. I thought I'd try to help you - and whoever may work on this - build on this idea.
