Jungles of Chult/the Guardian.....?

Hi.

I'm new here, but I thought I'd might ask you all for help. I've been playing IceWind Dale 2 for a few weeks now, and I have just finished the Yuan-Ti temple and is about to take the guardian.
But the second (or third?) Religious Steele is locked, and I can't unlock it...... What have I done wrong? Or is there just something I've missed? Can anyone please help me? I'm about to go crazy over this.... : /

As far as i can remember none of the Religious Steeles were locked. Do you mean you cant pick it up, or can't you place it to summon the guardian?

Patch the game or revert to an earlier save.

The best might be to wait for a better answer

Thax for answering. It can't be picked up, and when i try it says locked. when I try to unlock nothing happens, can't steal it either.....? Hmmmm......Anyone?

BTW have you tried casting the spell Knock on it?

did you pick up one of the steels from inside the temple? the others are all located outside. there is one that was somewhat difficult for me to see. it lies more or less directly above the temple. kinda near where you met the disciples i think.

the thing that is locked is not one of the steels. there is one next to it if i remember correctly.

it was along time ago, so i may be no help at all but that's all i got. hope it works out for you.

yes, you're right. one of the steels is inside the temple. it can only work by that.

Big tip: use the Alt key (highlights items, doors and containers) after every fight and when exploring. I had some trouble with this as well and found that just walking around holding Alt did the trick.

still locked

I have four religious steels, and one is broken. And it says here on the page (jungles of chult, nuber four) that "this is where you will find the second and third steel". they are on both sides of a snake statue, and when I pick up one, the other one get's locked, and it says locked when i try picking it up. It doens't matter which one i take first, the second one will be locked anyway.... Frustrating!!!!! Please help!

Yes, thank you. I reloaded a previous save. but our machine crashed so all my save games were lost... : ( Had to start ALLLLLLL over.

there is another post concering this same problem, its a bug, next time install the latest patch, that should fix it and if it does not, reload the older game. To bad your machine crashed though.
