There seems to be a major quirk in my romances...

Post by Estie »

I started playing the game as a Jahera romance, and I'm almost through her quests. Now however, Anomen is flirting with me for some odd reason. The other girls leave me alone, but Anomen's like "Perhaps one day, we will speak of other things.... I think I would like that..." Is this part of his romance script, or is Anomen just acting weird? It sounds just like what happened at the begining of the game when Aerie and Jarhea were having a field day with me. Oh yeah, and Anomen constantly refers to me as "My Lady" while Jarhea and Aerie refer to me as "He...Him... etc.." I mean, I don't think I'm switching genders every conversation. What's going on?

There's definetely a scripting error there. If you have Shadow Keeper loaded you should look through Global Variables to see if any unusual romance variables are active. Von or someone else may have a more conventional way to help you out. :)

I have really no idea why that's happening. If you're character is a male, than he shouldn't be doing that. I'll bet it's a bug. check to see if there's a patch to fix that. If there isn't one, then maybe you should try starting over, though chances are you might not be to thrilled with that. And it's quite possible that he's being weird, in which case you should snub him off and say you're not interested.
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(

I don't care if he keeps up the talks, since they're interesting, I just wanted to know if the game was suposed to do that. What is this Shadowkeeper thing that was mentioned?

You get the Shadowkeeper here. It's an editor for BG2 that's very effective. You'll probably want to correct the romance problems and see if there are any other errors in your saved game data.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
