O.K. So I should do my research first.

Rifthome Axe (hmm sounds pretty dwarvish to me) +3, "Axe returns to the wielder's hand instantly", purchase from Ribald - hence dwarven throwing axe... I recommend as second axe because it is a missile weapon and if you don't have much cash this and Stone fire +3(+2 fire), purchase from Bernard represent the best value for money. You soon get Frost Reaver +3(+1 cold, +1 acid) from Nalia's keep so that's not long to wait. Should have mentioned Azuredge which is a throwing axe +? which destroys undead just like the mace (non-throwing) of disruption, except Korgan (evil) can't use it. There's also the Axed of Hrothgar, purchase from Joluv but it is straight +3 AND gives +1 to Charisma and Wisdom, Korgan is cute and street smart enough IMHO.

The short bow is of course the Tuigan Bow +1.

While I'm typing I also should mention flame tounge it is +1 against most things but +4 vs undead. Daystar in one hand and flame tounge in the other and undead go away very fast - Curdis.

better take the ilithium covered mace of disruption +2 than flame tongue, works great in tandem with daystar for the purpose of slaying undead..you get negative plane protection and a chance to destroy them

How come no-one's mentioned the Scarlet Ninja-To +3? One extra attack per round plus Poison damage!

Pity you have to be a Monk to use it. Hack anyone? Image

Forget Carsomyr, take a crap on it and throw it in the trash. Powergamer's dream is crom faeyr/celestial fury.

Celestial Fury and Carsomyr are both d10's. But Celestial Fury is one handed, and while Carsomyr's damage is +2 more, Crom Faeyr gives 25 str, which gives a +14 damage bonus.

The only reason Carsomyr is of any use is the MR. Dispel I think is affected by MR. I know that almost everytime I try using dispel, I get something to the affect of *crapcracrap*: Magic Resistance. So that's why when I run into sanctuaried mages, I just run into another room or behind a door.

P.S. I think there's a major bug with Sanctuary as enemies use it. They can attack and cast spells while having sanctuary effective.

Anyone notice how skinny the name boxes are on this thread? Or is it just me?

I'll exert my 'Moderator' powers for the first time and reduce the number of '?' in his sentence. It will make the page fit inside the screen boundaries on some machines again Image.

And it still remains clear he was asking a question. Image

I am new to this so please excuse any mistakes in etiquette. Consider this- use the girdle of frost giant strength on your fighter class. Use the gauntlets on a mage or cleric class. This would be more useful then using them on Crom Feyr. otherwise IMHO Carsomyr (1d12 base damage) and celestial fury.

The Impaler is a spear you find I believe in Spellhold. Its a nifty weapon if you have anyone that can use spears... i believe its like 1d10 + 3 with an additional +10 damage and some other stuff

Intldragon1,

The girdle of Frost Giant Strength (+4 to hit, + 9 to damage) gives an improvement of only +1 to hit, +3 to damage from the gauntlets of Ogre Power (+3 to hit, +6 to damage) this is not that much (and your P.C. fighter has a natural strength of 18/50+ probably). A fighter with 25 strength (Crom Frayr) gets (+7 to hit, +14 to damage). Add War Hammer Weapon Mastery (+++) and duel wield and this +14 (strength only) damage happens 3 to 5(?) times a round. That is value for money. - Curdis

Actually, I lowered my natural Kensai str to 13, and just waited for Crom Faeyr to boost my str. 12 points. Until then, I used gauntlets or str 19 belt.

Actually what I thought was, if you have a cleric with say a 15-16 str give them the gauntlets, that gives them more fighting power. Then give the fighter typ. 18/50 + str the girdle and increase their fighting power even more. I do appreciate your comment though.
