When this happened to me (also after having slept with her once), she said that next time we met, it would be in battle. So when this happens, she is gone for good.

I 'solved' this problem by stealing from unimportant merchants, until they noticed and called me a thief. When this happens, your reputation drops by 2 points. You should only select UNIMPORTANT merchants, since you won't be able to deal with them afterwards. I also recommend you don't attack them, even though they go hostile.

If you gain the ability to turn into the Slayer at will, you're also out of your troubles. If you turn into it, you will lose 2 reputation points.

But here's the question because I'm planning on going after her in my next game: after she f*&$s and runs (the ingrate) and you drop your rep a few notches, will she come back to you after you display your "bad side"? And I presume you, er, dig her back up in the Graveyard?

I don't think she will be around anymore ... I'm not sure though.

It is better to prevent than to cure in this case, I think. Just make sure your reputation NEVER exceeds 18. And even at 18, you might want to bring it down, because you never really know when you gain in reputation.

Also, as long as you're popular (16+), Viconia will remark fairly often "I grow tired of spending my time with fools." She even keeps saying that when the two of you are in love - and that remark hurts in that case.

Flinfman, I also wrote a little in the topic you created, you might want to check it out.

Well Maurice, I thank you for your advice the only trouble being that for the life of me (maybe it's this blasted board already being up to 13 pages Image) that I can't find my relevant post about that! But I'm also getting conflicting views on this board about the Viconia romance: some say act human and she'll follow you wherever you go, others say act more drow-esque (thereby being more angry I would assume).

Which one worked best and what's the real difference? I'm starting another game soon so I'm kind of curious about that.

The topic was very close to this one ... it was created by Laniyen, and called 'Jaheira's Romance'. I'll bring it back on top, just so you can find it easier.

Anyway, I always did a bit of a human touch, so to speak. Never drowesque - I was afraid that might scare her off, or make her think humans are not that different from drow. I wanted her to see how different, more *pleasant* the human way of living could be (more pleasant relative to the drow anyway).

In the end, she surrendered herself to me, no longer able to fight my constant acceptance and courtesy I extended her, regardless of her behaviour (and she sure manages to tax your restraint). From then on, the conversations were friendly, and she seemed interested in the love affair.

SPOILER!

Shortly after sleeping with her for the third time, she'll suddenly feel cold and all, cold with a taint of Lloth to it. Not too long after that she'll come under attack, and after that she starts bitching again, in hopes of breaking the relationship. She is afraid that you get involved (and harmed) in her personal struggle against Lloth.
