Jaheria's Romance

Post by Laniyen »

Has anyone done the jaheria romance, and can give me a small outline? i think i messed it up, and need to know if its on track.

btw, i slept with phaere but told her that i had to to maintain the guise, and she believed me, does that ruin it?

Phaere isn't the only one you just screwed there, buddy. You can include yourself. I did it too (and promptly reloaded after telling Jaheria) just for the heck of it, and it cost me big time in the romance field. If you're already that far into the Underdark there isn't a whole lot more ahead for you, but the conclusion to the whole problem with the people who are after her (I forget their name right now).

Once you get uot of the Underdark, just stick with it. Dno't always take a placating tone, but if you have the opportunity to make a joke, then take it. And good luck. BTW- you don't get to bang Jaheria like Aerie, Viconia or Phaere. Next time through I'm going after either Aerie or Viconia. Jaheria is a worthy romance, but chasitity blows (and not in a good way).

If you go for Viconia, prepare yourself for a constant mental battle with Viconia. She has pulled up some defences that you can't bring down with anything you throw at it short of an atom bomb. Besides that, she's constantly insulting your main character, so you know what you're in for ... but the taste is very sweet once she let you through those defences.

Whatever you say to her, always try to be polite and friendly, and give the answer that is most 'human'.

Well folks, it's a HUGE truth that's Maurice said and i really really want to add that if you have the nerve of steel and a pile of curiousity you can try to romance Viconia. She sure is a heck of Ice Lady ! Even Miss Parker from Pretender series not match for her !

And Maurice, RA 2 is helluva fun but it's lack of challenge. Try Mech 4 yet ?

Not true. Jaheira will ask you to sleep with her the same as Viconia and Aerie. And if you are lucky, (in other words, hit a dialogue loop at the right time) she'll bang you repeatedly at random rest times.

KidD01: I know it lacks some real challenge. The only challenge really exists in hitting the par time, or lower. With the Allies I usually made it far below - with the mission of Pearl Harbor in about 10 min., while the par is 1h10m! I usually came a few minutes short with the soviets though. It would have been better had the rank also brought you some advantages ... tried multiplayer yet?

As for MW 4 - no, didn't play it. They really aren't my type of game. Last game I played that was something like it was Shattered Steel. Too bad they never continued that one, it was really great.

Hey Maurice ! You are right on your reply in the Miscs. question threat, I also got same experience with Jaheira about the locket. I think i get the locket some time after i got out of Irenicus prson too. Well i think the answer is how you answer to Jaheira Dialog everytime makes it happen. BTW i haen't finish the game i started with char i named Sarevok since i'm trying to beat my own par at RA2 currently (which difficulty u got your RA2 on ?). About your comment for the Soviet missions, it doesn't matter how you gonna beat the time par or not since the rank the same....i have beat the time par for Soviet missions about 2 times now (FYI in Red Storm Revolution mission i beat the mission in half par time !).

Thanks to Wycen Adamantite for the info about sleeping with Jaheira. BTW how come Jaheira seems like holding something when she talks to my char anyway ? She always end it with that "Umm.... bla bla bla" thing. When can you really see the romance on her side anyway ? I have done Viconia and Aerie, for me Aerie is just so cheap and less challenging than Viconia..... Image heh i guess i'm the guy who falls for the ice lady type.

Aerie is just like a teenage girl looking for puppy love, so all i can say to who want to get a real romance is stay out of Aerie.

"Love is in the air......every time i look around.......love is in the air....." hey Maurice remember that song ? LOL

My interpretation is that Jaheira isn't quite sure it's right yet to fall in love with someone right after her husband died. She never actually says "I love you" but that's what all her stammering and bumbling words are telling you.

Yeah, it's a bit weird that she romances you just within a few days of knowing that Khalid has died.

KidD01: yes, I know that song. As for the Soviet mission you mentioned, I don't remember them by title ... what was the mission objective on that one??

I always play on Normal diffculty. Easy is for people who first step into the game, while Hard is something I don't consider ...well, fair to the player. Why would everything be more expensive for you, and cheaper for the computer? The only difference should be in the AI. When they manage to get something that increases the AI for your opponents, I might try Hard games. Until then, I do normal.

Hey Maurice ! It's the mission when you have to capture Kremlin after that delicious gal (i don't recall the name) show u the tape that Romanov saying something.

About Jaheira, it's really weird it is. But hey what she looks on Khalid anyway ? I think she better falls for your char anyway.....the reincarnation of God of Murder *Evil Grin*

Oh, that one. Yes, I remember now. The one in which you start with two Kirov Airships.

Until I placed these in the RIGHT spots, this mission was pretty hard (at least for me). Two nukes to bring down the Kremlin is a lot, especially since he sends over Yuri's, Kirov's, and Terror Drones (usually with Iron Curtain over them - ARGH!). Last time I played it, I wiped every enemy soldier off the map ... took me some time, but in the end, only the Kremlin remained.

As for Jaheira: perhaps she already fancied the main character back in BG 1, but she couldn't show it then, because of Khalid ... and therefor she didn't want him resurrected! Aha, now I understand her ... she's shrewd!

I think... her previous marriage was arranged because of political reasons, blah, blah, but like every strong damsel in every story falls in love or develops closer feelings to the main hero even though it could be disguised as "professional partnership". Phew.

Well looks like so to me too, but hey does any of you object getting involved with more "experienced" women ? Image

One thing that i will add up about Jaheira romance is she sure is playing shy but inside really really want it.....it's a very interesting kind of woman.

BTW Maurice ever try capturing your opponent buildings than destroying them ? I think that should make your par time faster Image

Yep, I capture quite a lot ... and with 12+ Harriers, you can quickly decimate enemy bases. A nukesilo also works miracles Image

It's just that usually with the Soviets, I don't push through hard enough to end missions faster. With the Allies I usually don't have that problem ... kinda weird.

And as for older women: we have a saying here, that translates as: "You learn best to ride a bike on an old one." I guess that says enough.

I think the correct expression for the line you refering is "YEEEEEHAAAAAA !"

BTW for that mission i think u should advance to the small base and build your defense there (the base with 4 tesla power suply - that near your start point) try stacking loads of tesla and reinforce with tesla trooper. If u got some more question about this i think we better discuss this on goody threat or perhaps via email....we don't want to spoil this group right ?
