Err... when I got bored (this happens frequently), I either post on forums and such or I experiment with stuff.
In BG2 you used to be able to summon a demon (Via gate, cacofiend, etc.) that would rampage everywhere around town and kill everyone that it saw, you could protect evil your party and watch the demon mercilessly slaughter beggers, guards, merchants, townspeople, dogs, cats, rats, and small children for no loss of reputation.
When I tried this again sometime later it didn't work, I lost rep for the DEMON killing peasants , which technically isn't right cause I have NO control over it, and the creature itself is of course hostile. Is this something that was addressed in the patch or did I catch a fluke?
Indirect Peasant killing doesn't work anymore
Realistically, you should only lose reputation if they could tell it was you.
Too bad the developers didn't divide rep into reputation and moral stature. That way, you could gain rep with the monster gate if you helped kill the creature, but lose significant moral stature (that might affect powers, temple healing, etc).

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Found this a while ago - haven't tried it yet, but it's supposed to do something like that.

Yes, I saw that, too. Haven't gotten around to trying it out yet, though.
