Bringing a henchman back to life
Bringing a henchman back to life
I couldn't find a post about this, so sorry if there are one out there, and I didn't see it.
Well, in the journal I can read that I can bring my henchman back to life if I just go the temple of tyr. But how do I do it? Tried to talk with all of the people there, and none of them can help me. Is there something I have to do? or do I just use the stone of recal to get to the temple when se is dying? I have no idea.. Please help me

Your henchman should automatically be alive back at the temple of Tyr, and you shouldn't need to speak to anybody (other then your henchmen).
However ... in chapter 1, it is the Hall of Justice in the city core. (the circular pattern on the ground, near the Recall Portal/Divine Pool)
But, it should always be near where you teleport using the Stone of Recall.

The game lists some areas as 'Deadly' , if 'Pavel' from the Prelude Chp. dies in the Prelude he won't ressurrect. I don't know the game to well yet(lvl 6 now),
but if you enter a 'deadly' area, that could be the reason your npc won't ressurrect if it dies.
Just a thought, correct me if i'm wrong

Oh, When all else fail, put the Dwarf up front!

I've not heard or experienced such a thing, but that isn't to say that it couldn't be true.
The reason Pavel isn't resurrected is that there is no place to resurrect him in the module, there is no temple or hall of justice in the prelude module.
All other places where you have been able to use the Stone of Recall, I've been able to recollect a henchmen in the appropiate place, but I can't recall loosing one in Luskan, but I doubt there would be some special modifier in place.
I'd say it is likely a bug. Is your game fully patched?
However, if you can handle the module (Luskan) solo, I would think your henchmen returns on chapter 3. However if you can not, I would suggest reloading to before Luskan.

I encountered similar problems in Multiplayer (LAN) mode. Seems that the Henchmen of joined players are quite bugged. In our game Tomi got lost several times (i.e. he was killed and did not reapear in the temple), could not be healed by Aribeth and finally even went hostile on us, as he was kicked out of the party.
Nevertheless he respawned in chapter two (strange enough), but soon he got himself killed again and dissapeared without a trace. Cya again in chap 3, probably...
We're running v1.62 SoU + HotU installed.

Do you have installed newest version and/or SoU HoU? I recently installed game and both extension, and have a similar problem with henchmen. After they are killed, they respawn in place they die, not in temple, but they are 'dismissed' from duty - I have to ask him/her to join me again. I can't talk to them during fight, if they got killed before I ask them, they won't respwan. I don't like this change because it's making fights more difficult, and I don't get xp when they are not with me... I don't think I can change it in game options but if somone knows a way to do this...

Hmm I dig deeper in bioware forums and it looks like it's known bug maybe this will help you: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic ... hman+death
It is possible to finish nwn in spite of this problem, but you spend more money on healing, and sometimes playing could be VERY frustrating: Your hero is just about to kill a big bad boss after long and painfull battle, but your henchman just got killed, raised again and killed bbb wich means no xp for you - arrgh! or he got himself killed permanently... again.. argh!
Anyway here's some advices, I'm not sure which version of game do you have but it looks like version 1.61 of SoU may cause this bug, update to 1.62 could help, I recommend patch from official site . However I have version 1.62.8047 and both SoU and HoU and I still have this problem.
If updating/reinstalling or whatever won't help just buy a lot of healing potions and quicksave during battles a lot...
Hope you'll be able to fix it, good luck
