Possible Charisma Cheat

Post by The-mad-haggis »

I equipped Jaheira with the rod of terror which has a 25% chance of reducing charima permanently every attack. I also equipped her with the ring of human influence so her charisma would stay fixed at 18. After a while I removed the ring to see her charisma had fallen to 5. I put the ring back on and continued playing. A while later I removed the ring to find her charisma was at 21. I figure her stat dropped below 0 and jumped to around 25 or so. Have not tried to duplicate this cheat but it if anyone wants to try it out, go for it.

Same thing goes for adding magic resistance, to oh say, dragons? their magic resistance is already around 60-80, just use a magic resistance spell or 2 and it loops around and goes to around 10-20.

I though magic resistance simply set the targets resistance to 2% per level of the caster. So no matter what target you cast at the resistance would always be set at that level. Allowing for increasing some targets (weaklings and reducing in others (forementioned dragons).

No, it adds not sets, and you can search for the topic, I read it a while ago and am not sure exactly what it says.

You are wrong FireLighter, it works the way The-mad-haggis (I like that name :D ) explained it. Take a look at Xyx's spell refernece: http://members.chello.nl/~j.vanthull/BG ... htm#Level5
