Hmm, your symptoms indicate firmly that you are suffering of a foul curse or a drain spell that is devouring on your flesh. You should visit a local pharmacist (aka potion seller) or Voodoo doctor (aka spell seller) as soon as possible. Give this prescription to them and they will hand you a potion/spell of Restore Ability for a certain amount of cash. If the symptoms remain feel free to visit me again.

Good thing you called in a professional. I was just gonna tell you to drink and be merry, for tomorrow you die.

But this happened to my armor skills (heavy, medium, light). They were all red for a time being, and dropped considerably, and then they turned dark gray and went to zero. I tried everything... Potions, spells, scrolls, shrines, therapy... You name it. Nothing worked. I eventually had to restart my character. :( Made me sad. I was becoming attached. Maybe it was for the better though. Perhaps I was becoming too attached. Obessed, even. But hey, I've had some therapy, and I think I'm getting over it... I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM!

Hope everything worked out for ya. :D

If you're studying the fine art of alchemy, you can also make your own potions for those occasions when life gets unpleasant. Typically, my PC keeps only Restore Strength on him (because it's embarassing to be stuck in one spot while monsters converge on you), but others are back at the old lab.

::laughs at fable:: Haha, you get stuck by Bonewalkers. :p My character can outwit the undead. (Not that hard seeing as half their brain <the usuable half!> is hanging out the side of their head, attached by merely a few strands of lifeless tissue.) I find Alchemy to be a pain. :( I have high Alchemy skill, but I can't ever make good potions. I guess it's because I never take the time to set my character down and make him pay attention to what he's mixing in the mortar and pestle. I never know what ingredients to mix to get what I want, and I find that very frustrating. So that's probably why I never do it. I'm also too lazy to look up an Alchemy guide, even though thousands have been recommended on here. I'll get to it eventually, but I really don't see the point in making potions, other than making money. I have enough spells to take care of ever needing potions to fix things.

No, actually I get stuck by other monsters, since I've got Morrowind Advanced and SuperAdventurers running. Adds a whole new dimension of uncertainty to the game. And I love every minute of it. :D Hell, I even get attacked when walking peaceably around Vivec at night by vampire rogues, and ordinary thieves cast spells! Fun for all!

:( You suck. Suck like a leech. I only get attacked by cliff racers when I'm walking peaceably around Vivec, and for some reason, whenever that happens, the Ordinators say I've violated the law and they attack me! "Well soorry Mr. BignBad for walking around admiring the wonderful architecture of your stupi... I mean beautiful city, then being savagely attacked by one of your ferocious Birds of Annoyance and Pain." Mods... I don't know if I really want them all that much. I guess I would like them for the graphics and sounds and challenges, but all the cheese you can do for them would spoil the game for me.

We're getting a bit afield, here--so let me just briefly note that if you enjoy getting cursed, try the Disturb the Dead mod. Adds rewards to many urns in tombs, but the dead come out to play, and they often curse you, first. You can collect a nice bunch of curses that aren't receptive at all to Restore potions; the only way out is to buy a special cleansing potion from a priest in one of the Temples. And eventually, if you loot enough graves, the dead come to trouble your sleep. :D

By "restore ability," he meant "restore attribute," where attribute is any attribute. You'll find Restore potions for the variety of attributes.

As for curses and diseases, you'll receive a text message at the bottom of the page kindly informing you of that fact. Unfortunately, it's not added to your Journal for reference. But when those attributes start turning red, you'll know something's up, even if you missed the text message.

Curses, playing too many games at once really can sometimes lead to disastrous results... Indeed I meant "Attribute" and not "Ability". Still it's basically the same thing, at least from a gamer's perspective.

Basically when you find any spell with the 'Restore' effect combined with anything except(!) Health, Magicka or Fatigue, the remaining ones are the attributes, you have what you need for making a spell with Restore [insert wanted attribute here]. Same goes with Fortify. Except the skills come in here too... Which of course are skills and not attributes.. Well hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to say here...
