DEFINATELY get it on PC if you are even slightly thinking about it.

Get the GotY edition..and yes the game comes with the editor.

With the PC edition you can download mod after mod after mod and make yourself some of the wierdest looking characters..or you can go nakie-time if you are really into that kinda thing. :P

As long as your PC can handle it, go for the PC version. And by handle it, I don't mean it matches the minimum, or even recommended, system.

Mods especially take up lots more power.

all computers come with an on-board video card and if you get a better computer you get a better on-board video card, but its better to buy one that isnt attatched to the mother board

Let me put it this way: I put Morrowind on my "crap" computer (we're talking Windows 2000 edition, w/256 RAM - it's a slug), and it went off without a hitch (admittedly, I had some trouble configuring sound, but nothing that the official page didn't solve)...GET THE PC VERSION!!! (GOtY, prefferably).
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

i no, but mine is really oooollllddd... :( and b4 i had a 98, my bro is a pc engineer and he upgraded and reinsulated my pc so that it's as clean as a whistle, o u can say i gotta fresh start wit my pc :D nd i reinstalled all my game ( like 4 of em) and my pc had like 30 somtin gigs when i got it now it has like 26 or 27. The 4 games i hav are: flight sim 2000, age of empire, command and conquer tiberian sun, and command and conquer generals(the only game that doesn't work) now since c and c generals soesnt work cuz of a vid card, i'm scared morrowind wont work either, so i'm waitin for my bro to buy me a new video card :D whcich wont be for like more than a month he says :( but sooner or later i'll hav one so... im happy i gues

EDIT: @ tower master so your sayin that morrowind will still work even though my pc has a crap video card... if your rong.... grrrrrrrr

I think you can install Morrowind and about 1000 mods on that.
it should run on your pc if you have a windows xp....i dont think youll need a better video card thing and may as well try the pc version, its got lots of mods
do you even know wot a video card is?

yea and if your video card is toooo old ( like mine prolly is ) the game WILL NOT work. well atleest thas how it is for C&C Generals
If it can't run C&C generals it will NOT run Morrowind.
But if your graphics card can't even run C&C generals, you really ought to get yourself a whole new computer.
all computers come with an on-board video card and if you get a better computer you get a better on-board video card, but its better to buy one that isnt attatched to the mother board
What's a computer, sir?

You really don't need that good a video card. I have a Radeon 9200 and Morrowind works fine. I just saw the 9200 on sale for $30 at CompUSA a few weeks ago, so yeah, not much need for a huge investment there.
