Free Change of Armor apperance *possible Spoiler*

Post by Fiberfar »

Don't know if anyone have posted this before so:
You can change the apperance of your armor for free. Give the armor the look you want, then Quicksave. load the quicksave and rest (must be in a area you can rest). You will now wear the armor with the new apperance. Since you quicksaved there will Not be any costs....

You can do it with weapons too. Furthermore, you can make a valid dupe of the item, rather than a 'stolen' copy.

-Go in and modify your armor/weapons appearance and get it how you would like.

-Quicksave your game before you hit 'make the changes'. Exit the dialogue and load that save.

-You now have 2 versions of the peice of equipment, one 'invalid' modified version (or 'stolen'), and the origional.

-In order to make the new peice 'legal' (not stolen), you have to make a successful craft check. This can be done for NO cost if you change the appearance of a peice (neck being rather easy), then change it back to what it was (thus, minimal skill check and zero money cost). Attempt this check until it succeeds, and you now have a much better looking dupe of the origional.

After a year and a half, i'm not worried about exploiting an old game if it means making it somewhat playable (I got bored of the games item list and gaudy equipment after the first pass through, and had to import my own custom equipment to even bother playing through it again).
