Question of the ending cinematics?

Post by Hobbes82 »

I have never finished the game. I don't want to know what the ending scheme is. But, i would like to know if it is more like a movie , with your character; or is it like the cinematics when u leave Irenicaus's dungeon. I would like to see a little more graphics , other than scripted character movement with script down below :D

It's a movie clip. I'm not sure what it means (I won't tell ya ;) ), but don't worry, it's done quite well, althought not as good as starcraft one...

Diablo 2 has the best movies I have ever seen in a game by far.
When logic and proportion,
Have fallen sloppy dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards,
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the doormouse said.

Yes, d2 has amazing cinematics, too bad the graphics engine blows.

I think movies in other games are used to tell the story like SC or D2. But in Bioware games, you don't need movies to tell you the story. The scripted events and conversation are pretty good. Besides, the story is very rich and dialogues are good. You don't really need movies. The movies in BG2, however, is used to show you what a place looks like. For example, Hell, Suldanesslar, Underdark, etc.

Squaresoft and Blizzard have the best movies of anyone in the business. Diablo 2’s cinematics were nothing short of excellent (especially ACT III’s) though Final Fantasy has never let me down with it’s CGI either (though I’ve haven’t played 9 yet). Hopefully the Final Fantasy movie will be as good on plot as it is on graphics. :)
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
