Halycon query.

Post by krashd »

my last game I got cursed by Sha-kar because I tried to give an offering to Alberich (dwarf god) before giving an offering to Halycon.. this time round i tried to give offering to Halycon first and he won't accept my olive branch.

what's up with that, i'm usually quite problem-solve-amatic after i've read the corresponding gods of arcanum book and spoken to the university lecturer but i am completely at a loss as to how this god wants me to be :/

any thoughts appreciated.

The blessing must be done is specific order or the curse will cancel the previous blessing. You'll need to repeat the previous blessing and figure out the next one. There is information in Tarant on the order for the blessing quest. Go to Tarant University and look at the map of the Gods. Look carefully and you'll see three starting points and three ending points that form the three circles you need to get the Velorien's Blessing. Each icon represents a god. A book you can get from the man in the blessing office of Tarant U will help ID the gods. Visit each temple in Arcanum and you can determine which god it by reading the sign. It takes some interpretation so pick up duplicates of all offerings incase it does'nt work. Store the duplicate offerings in Stillwater or Black Root. They are easy to access.

Draw or write a description of the blessing route for future games.

Does't the Altar have to be repaired before you can give an offering?
Oh, there are a few provisions of courthe: It mutht be a black eye cauthed by a thtampede of wild elephanths, in the confineth of your own home, between the hourths of 3:55 and 4:00 PM, on the fourthh of July, of any year, during a hail-thtorm.

The Halcyon alter needs repair and this mini quest can be done anytime. I usually repair the alter before going to Qinterra because the blessing quest can start after you learn of Falcons Ache.

If you go over to GB's Arcanum section, the walkthrough there includes a segment on the ancient gods / altars quest.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
