Jedi classes

Post by UrchSr »

What's going to be the difference between the two classes of Jedi you pick? Consular/Master?! Guardian/Weapon Master?! I'm curious to find out what the real differance will be. The Sith pestiege sounds cool, but we need to know more about each class If someone knows something I don't hook me up. Two jedi classes is cool, but when and where does it happen? what's the differance in stats? I dying here!!

Differences

Eh! I think you'll just have to wait...
However, I think that the prestige classes will correspond more or less to the three original jedi classes, and each of them will introduce its exclusive powers/feats. For instance, a jedi master will gain some kind of special force power and will use his saber very little, while a weapon master will be a mere swordsman, with special attack/defense moves.

They'll probably be doing somethign with the Star Wars d20 system presitge classes. Add in classes like Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, Force Master, Weapon Master. Things like that, I'd imagine, anyway.

Does a Jedi have to move up ranks? Padawan-Jedi-Knight-Master? I thought that all the classes could could be a "Master". A doctor is still a doctor reguardless if he's OB/GYN or a Psychologist. Is a Watchman a Master? Jolee would have skipped over knight and went straight to Master in his story. If I'm right, the Master class is not specific enough, and Watchman does not get the juice he deserves.

In the D20 system, a Jedi is a padawan until level 7. After that, the Jedi becomes a Knight. Master is a presitge class.

Officially, Jolee is not a member of the Jedi Order. He would not have skipped Knight in his story, because as well as being ready for it, just not taking the tests, he spent an awful lot of time smuggling and being a hermit on Kashyyyk before you get to him. While he'd probably have achieved Master status by now, despite his less than orthodox belief's, he probably wouldn't want that kind of attention!

I wouldn't think of the seperate Jedi classes as ranks, of Knight and Master such like. Just that the prestige classes give you bonuses that are exclusive to that class, and cannot be attained using another prestige class or your normal Jedi class. Ignore the names, they are just the "style" of Jedi Master you are leveling in, if you like :)

Yeah basically from what I've read the prestige classes are just mastering you on your chosen path as a jedi...just giving you more (feats,etc..) that will help you with your, you could say "chosen field" as a jedi, If your a consular it's going to give you special things that will add to your force powers, if your a guardian it will go towards your melee skills...Well that's how I understand it from what I've read on different websites.
