Is finding a cure for Sarah, tibus or Cedric even at all possible or is it a red herring????

There are definitely cure potions available.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Hint: Have you discovereed who created the plague, yet? If so, he's a likely source for a cure.

The doctor's house has a cellar. In there, you will find several cures, along with really nasty demon who will kill you on sight. Best to repeatedly cast a frost-based attack, and run unless you have a fantastic weapon.
