Basically I win everytime I gamble, so that's how I make dues.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

As practically every shop keeper in the game suggests doing this I guess it must be a good way of tgetting more money. I suppose for example if you bought 40 beer kegs and went on to sell them at twice the price somewhere it would be worth your while - but I never paid attention to how much the various produce items cost in different towns.
Has anyone made this work for them?

The only thing I've found worth selling to traders are gems. Mostly because we get them for free for killing monsters. When I run across a trader offering a good price for them. I sell them one at a time until he is offering less than fair amount. At that point stop selling. Never do that (Sell all 50) option. Because it recalculates the value after each one, so by the time that 50th one is being sold your taking huge loss.
Some of the shops have areas where the shop keeper cant see you. I like to stand there 'Steal' items off the shelves then sell them back to that shop keeper. He quickly pops them back on the shelves and you can repeat the process. Just keep in mind large and valuable objects take longer to steal. Making it easier for you to get caught.

What I do is this; if there is a demon door in a story quest get the loot hero save, reload get that treasure as many times as your sanity will allow.

That's one of the biggest things that bugged me about this game. Perhaps you could make a profit wheeling and dealing, but you'd probably spend 10 times as much time running around, writing down prices, finding traders that actually will even buy what you've got than following the quests and doing what's realistically important (taking care of your sis and mom and dealing with ole' Jack). Perhaps some have such a lack of a life that that sort of repetitiveness appeals to them, but I prefer goal completion and efficiency. My guile was maxed and I still couldn't find anyone who would even buy anything I had (let alone give me anything but a less than market price).

Meh I don't waste to many points in guile, I just want the lock pick skill . I have noticed it has little effect on traders, I just say if they don't have something you want kill em', but then I'm maxed good so I have to let em' pass *grumbles*.
