Other. I'm not American. Where I live there are many political parties, proportionally represented in the parliament according to popular vote.

Look at it this way Fable, you're just special
Since I'm not a US citizen, I'd have to say "Other." My politics lie much further to the Left than the Democratic Party, so even if I lived in the States, I think my answer would be the same.

... and I just recently part of starting a new such party with some friends with the purpose of running for the equivalent of the house of representatives. Our aim is to put randomly chosen people into political office, randomly chosing them from the IRS huge database containing the entire population. That should be fun!

With all due respect, I'd rather be run-of-the-mill in Northern Europe, than special in the US.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Republican, baby!

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Ditto. I have no affiliation with any party. Libertarian might describe some of my stances, but then one day I took a look at a Libertarian running for an office here in Texas. Gadzooks.

(paraphrasing)
"No man who wants to hold office should be allowed to do so"
Which leads me to believe the post of President should be forcefully thrust upon the shoulders of someone random. Very much like draft, one day you will open your mailbox and exclaim "Honey, look! I'll be the president for the next four years!"

I'm not american but if i was i was probally a democrat (but not in heart of soul, just this election).
What is very weird, cause in the netherlands i voted a party thaqt you could compare with the republicans.
But then again, whe have a mixture of party's in our parlement corresponding witht he amount of votes they had.

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

This is exactly why we actually have started a party with the purpose of selecting candidates at random from the population. We're running for the 2006 election in Sweden. Its all on voluntary basis though, so we will not be able to market ourselves like the conventional parties do.
Edit: I'm stealing time away from real work to translate the charter, founding principles and faq to english. It should be ready soon, or at least before th 2006 election
