Body armor

When and how do i obtain the bodyarmor?
I know it has something to do with my Ghoul.

Just talk to your ghoul after finishing major parts of the game and she will give you things. She will give you the armour after the society of leopold part if I remember correctly.

Also note if you've been mean to her she may not give you anything.

Damn blood bonds aren't worth jack anymore these days.

Unfortunately I'm far too nice and I always let my ghoul go when she gives me her college money.

Some Spoilers.

After the Society of Leopold mission, Heather (in my game atleast) gets kidnapped by the Sabbat and killed during the Sabbat killing mission.

How do I keep her from being kidnapped and killed and get the Body Armour?
