The 4 Muskateers:

Post by Dreez »

My first party consisting of only 4 characters, i decided to call them the 4
muskateers (spelling). Having a party of only 4 is a new playing experience for
me in IWD2 and i have to be honest, its alot more fun.
Compared to a party of 6 where you cut through everything like a hot chainsaw
through a pack of butter , a party of 4 requires cunning, strategy and a few
"bags of tricks".
The special thing about this party is that im trying my first MC-char ,
a fighter/bard witch im really pleased with sofar and a Cleric not built for combat.

So let me introduce you all to my new kickarse team.

#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#

1: Tank/front fighter . Name: Orgur. Class: Barbarian. Level: 12. Race: Halforc.
STR:26, DEX:18, CON:18, INT:8, WIS:9, CHA:1, Weapon: Greatsword.

Orgur becomes a real beast when throwing himself headfirst into a fight
getting buffed by my Cleric and Enchanter. He can tank really good and have
a HP of nearly 200 at his current level witch is awesome in my eyes.
With his improved Cleave and his awesome hitting power he can smash
through enemylines very fast. He is ugly as hell but gets the job done.
------
2: Wildcard. Name: Eowyn. Class: Fighter/bard. Level: 12. Race: Human.
STR:12, DEX:16, CON:16, INT:14, WIS:10, CHA:16. Weapon: Spear.

Eowyn is my experimental character that has develpoed really nice and she
handles herself in combat better then more clerics i´ve had. She is getting
access to the good buffers atm and despite her low STR , she can kill foes
on her own using a few tricks. Thou she is very good , i feel that i should
have set the attributes abit diffrent , but i´ll do that next time.
------
3: Healer. Name: Lorna. Class: Cleric - Lorekeeper of Oghma. Level: 10. Race: Drow.
STR:18, DEX:10, CON:15, INT:10, WIS:21, CHA:16. Weapon: Hammer.

Lorna is foremost built for turning undead and other planar beeings. She will
become a very good asset except for the healing when she gets access to
the more "evil" cleric spells . When she is buffed and using her own Ironskin
she can withstand a good amount of hits before screaming for help, and
she can do some realy hefty damage with her +2Hammer/+1d6 Electrical.
------
4: Enchanter. Name: Saundriel. Class: Sorceress. Level:11. Race: Wildelf.
STR:6, DEX:10, CON:16, INT:16, WIS:10, CHA:20. Weapon: Bow.

Saundriel is the one working behind the scene, throwing buffs, cursing and
lowering the enemies moralé and dissabling their powers. Sofar she is the
only one that has not died in my party ,Orgur got hit by a "call Lightning" and
electricutet. She has saved many battles with her spells and she can dissable
huge amounts of enemies in a few seconds and due to her high CHA her
spells is very hard to resist, and that she is specialized in Enchanting does
not make it any better for the enemy.

This party absolutely rocks, sofar i´ve had no bigger problem with anything
and that includes Sherincal, she went down after having an arguement with
Orgur in rage - she lost .
I can deffinetly say to anyone that has yet to play a 4-party , try it out
before uninstalling IWD2 because it really brings new life to this already so
awesome game.

I just finished of the Icetemple and are heading into the forest to search for
the missing children, i jsut hope that i get a levelup with Saundriel to give her
before fighting the Sorce that snagged´em.

/To be continued :)

i am sorry, i live under a rock, but what is a MC-char?

for my party i like having a big fighter to hold the front line. a ranger in the back shooting everything he sees, a non-battle cleric to heal me, and a rogue to act like a pesky little critter sneaking around and poping out to deal massive damage :D
