2 questions

1st question : can u finish enclave without having to fight anyone ??? i know i got to the final boss without fighting anyone......even got his goons to join me and when talked to the boss i got an option saying that the place was gonna explode and we had to get outta there......and some other crap which meant i wouldnt have to fight him......unfortunately i wasnt abble to persuade him and had to fight him.

2nd question : bout being a baddie !!! i tried it once and was really low on karma.....i got to NCR where normally i had to go to talk to the guy about the map to vault 13..........but i didnt get the quest to see the farmer( i forgot his name) in vault city cause i was hated there........and neither did i find any way of finding vault 13 without that map(u know the one on the back of a picture). help ?

1st one: Well u can beat the boss without actually fight him alot...just reprogram the turrets in the fight area from the console to shoot at him...he'll be busy with the goons if u persuaded them to attach him...(not sure how high science skill has to be....)

2nd: if i remember corectly u can acquire the V13 location from a V15 comp....the outcasts overthere probably won't let u enter, but if u're a baddie, splatting their insides over the screen isn't really a problem...

1'st one : I know bout the turrets : u can reprogam them with the keykard u get from the president without having to hack them ( it was my char + 4 squad members + 4 goons + turrets vs the big bad boss)

what i really wanna know is if u can finish the game without having to fight anyone in the enclave ( since i managed to avoid fighting untill the last boss i wanna know if i can avoid fighting him).

i got the option to talk to him and avoid a fight (10 int 230 speech i think) but didnt manage to convince him........i was wandering if any1 managed to do such a thing.

2'nd one :thx for the info didn't know that one...........where exactly is the comp???

That computer is located on lvl3 at Vault15.

sry for bringing up such an old thread but my question is still unanswerred

when fighting the final battle (the big guy) i got an option along the lines : the whole thing is gonna blow let's get out of here toghether your plan is finished anyways...... he said something like F*** you and started shooting.....didn't go back to see if u can avoid this.

doesnt anybody else see a bug here ???? i mean u get the option to talk yourself out of the fight but u can never achieve that ??? WTF ???? patch anyone ???

that would be cool to be able to talk yourself out

I think the idea is more that you can talk others into fighting for you.

i always fancied that u can choose which way to go through the fallout universe...bad or good ...violent or non violent.....so i guess i kind of liked the ideea that u could talk ur way out of the fight

gonna try it anyways as soon as i get my hands on F2 (again)

i know this was asked before but :has any1 beaten shi emperor at chess ? from what i know u cant beat him or destroy him .....so it kinda makes sense that if u could beat him he would malfunction or smth and be destroyed (maybe im exagerating

)

also i think that this is were i read that the programers initially wanted to include another town :-?which had resolutions to some issues (such as suliks sister) but never got around to it ??? and that u could actually make it appear ingame somehow ??? can any1 expand on this ? is it myth or fact

Okay, first about your question of the missing town:
Yes, you have understood right. with a bit searching you can find a pic of map in http://www.nma-fallout.com which gives locations of every town, including those which never made to the final version. And as faar as I know, there is no way to get that town, since it has ever included to game.

Secondly, about beating the final enclave:
You can avoid total fighting by hacking turrets to shoot Frank. That way, you don't have to fire single bullet.

Finally, about the Shi emperor:
IIRC, it was planned somewhat how you described it, but due bugs and such, it's unachievable. But thi is no 100% sure.

bah, I hate those unbeatable, undestructible, unachieveble, and 'unsomethingble' things....
like playing chess with that Computer in the glow (that still I couldn't find a reasonable explanation to convince me how that piece of junk survived

Idea!

Good job on trying to avoid violence.

I remember that you can sneak past him and activate the door behind him and simply leave. Or, perhaps if he spots you, you can still run past him and just use the door?

I played the game a great deal without any patches, so it's possible that you can only sneak by him in the unpatched game. You will not be able to sneak by him if you activate the gun turrents, I am pretty sure. Or maybe you can. Give it some tries.

And as a tiny help, the door might not look like a door, I think it is huge, but you should be able to find it, even if my memory is flawed.

Nope. You can get through FO1 without killing anyone but not FO2. More than one person was annoyed by that. Especially after going all the way through FO2 taking extreme care not to kill anyone. Then finding there's no way to avoid killing Frank Horrigan. True, it's possible for the turrets to kill him before he gets around to engaging you, but it's not really the same thing.

If thought that way, you are more or less right- It depends if you also count that if you party members kill someone means that you killed...

oh yeah? You can finish FO1 without killin' anyone? I know how to defeat the Master without firing a single bullet (just talk to him and tell him the Mutants are esteril... he'll 'colapse'. It requires a high inteligente and speech tho.). But how do you destroy the vats then? I know you can get inside it by talking to Harry (I guess that's his name...) at Necropolis. But the Lieutant never seemed too talkative, and he tends to just bash you until you tell your vault's location....
so how do you destroy the vats?

Use sneak to get down to the control room, then use science to initiate self-destruct, then sneak out again.

Eh...

If you turn on self destruction on the base you do kill ALOT of people. Or doesn't it count when you press on a buttom instead of a trigger? And in F2 you blow up the oilridge, killing everyone inside.

Yes, but when pushing button you give everybody a slight chance to survive (countdown), but with trigger yo udo not

Well i do suppose that is true. Well... Its not sure that the entire military base actually exploded, maybe it was just the room with all the vats in it. But with The Master, a nuclear missile exsploads, and i doubt anyone can really survive that. Except for The Vault Dweller, who probaly only gets something like 50 metres away from the blast, but somehow survives anyway!
