Ok, on the cab...what about feeding hospital girl blood???(spoiler)
I read the walkthrough looking for stuff I missed since no cabs came and I kind of guessed I just hadn't activated it. I'm trying to rack up the experience points. Thanks!

How to Feed the Dying Girl ...
There's an idiot ghoul you need to talk to, his name is Knox, he's very annoying, but he's important in this phase.
If your talking about the dying girl in the hospital, your not even given the option of feeding the girl until you interact with him. Do the following:
... you leave Mercurio's apartment building and head down the street to your left toward the Medical Clinic. If this is your first time entering the building, then you'll be approached by a fanatic ghoul named Knox. He's not much fun to talk to, but he'll provide you with some information on how exactly a human becomes a ghoul. You need to let him explain fully what a ghoul is and how someone becomes a ghoul. You also need to be friendly with him at this point.
... If you haven't met up with him.. go to the front of the medical clinic and look for him. If you talked with him once already and didn't make friendly conversation or killed him, I don't know if you can redo this part. I ran into the same problem, I snuck in the back way and had to go around to the front and find him.
After talking with him, go back to the girl in the room, you will be given then the option of feeding her when you start the dialogue with her. You will then be given two options.. feed her.. or leave.
Game Banshee, in the walkthough on this site, stated if you ghoul her.. she later on becomes very useful in that she has access to some very powerful, perhaps the best, armor in the game. So she is useful at some point. She may be worth feeding.
Hope this helped.

The Cab ...
And apparently, after you blow up the warehouse as the Prince requested you to do, then the cab sort of automatically shows up. If you haven't done that quest, no cab will show. And you won't be able to get downtown by way of the sewers either. So you must do the quest. I know it gets very confusing.
After retrieving the pendant from the Ocean House Hotel, return to The Asylum to be given another quest called Slashterpiece. Carry out Jeanette's bidding at the Gallery Noir if you wish, then return once again to The Asylum to receive yet another quest called Bad Blood. This quest will move into the Sibling Rivalry quest, after which you will be back on track for the Explosive Beginning quest.
head down the street from The Asylum to the Sunco Gasoline facility where you'll find the Nosferatu hiding out in an old oil tank. He'll provide you with some specifics about the warehouse and the Sabbat that are using it, then offer to take you to it so that you can plant the Astrolite and take it down. Gear up before you go, then tell Bertram you're ready.
The warehouse is going to be the first major combat zone you've experienced so far.

Vamp Blood
Actually this is simpler than most are saying. When you first talk to Mercurio, you'll recall that he mentions that the vamp blood is no longer working? There will be a conversation link for vamp blood at that point and it will show up again in his conversation after you deliver him some morphine (possibly after you retrieve the Astrolite, I don't remember exactly). Basically just hit that vamp blood link in his conversation. Once you've talked to Mercurio about vamp blood, go back to the hospital and approach Heather. You will automatically be given the choice to feed her your blood.
