The Morrowind Construction Set

Post by hwesta_elf »

I was wondering, I got the PC version of Morrowind GOTY 6 months ago and it came with this wicked "TES construction set". A lot of the posted problems could be solved with it so I was wondering if everyone has this or just shun it for it's potential use for cheating in addition to it's original purpose of creating wonderful plugins. :o

I would, actually, really like to learn to use the constuction set and create a few simple mods just for my own enjoyment. The problem is that the sites I have looked at for information are fairly complicated in the way they present instructions. I do not have a tech background and I have trouble with small details (I tend to be more the "big picture" type).

All of the above being said, though, if anybody knows of a really good site focusing on mod building that speaks in simplified layperson's terms I'd love to hear about it.

I find it useful, but then again I don't have the skills to do scripts or make levels just to play with new races, adjusting things and making new items and such. It makes it fun to suddenly change whats around you on a new game.

The how-to of things are a pain on a large scale though and without good directions like said above, I won't ever get into more than tinkering with things and going by what I can reason out through trial and error without too much frustration.

I found this site helpful sis. It helps you too avoid some of the more common errors, plus it has detailed instructions for looking around the windows.

I like the construction set, it not only helps with problems such as npcs randomly falling through floors  but with some of the mods that may have bugs or provide items that need to be placed into MW
