Great game, wish there was more!

Post by .Monk. »

So I finished through it for the first time as a Male Tremere and had a ton of fun even with the glitches and occasional bugs. Great story, wonderful voice acting, and a lot of fun all around. Most games leave me bored at points but I never wanted to stop playing Bloodlines for a minute. Now the only problem is I'm done and being as thorough as I am I did pretty much every side quest etc. with my first character so playing again is proving to be fun, but not as cool as I'd hoped. So what to do now...

I'm really hoping that Troika gives us a way to make our own levels etc. I'm pretty darn good at mapping with the HL1 engine and am excited to start working with the new goodies of the Source engine. If only there was a way to add to what has been presented with Bloodlines already...mmmm, that would be tasty.

Yep, gotta agree with u. Hopefully they'll add a SDK with the upcoming patch.

Really? Is there a site where I can check out what's up or some other info? I'd be more than happy to help if I have anything useful to offer to the project.

Yeah, the game was great. My only 2 complaints are the bugs and the fact that Troika could have used the engine better, but even so these are only minor problems. I was quite dissapointed by Arcanum and ToEE was mediocre, but after Bloodlines I can't wait for their next project.

As for the lenght of the game, it's quite long, especially considering today's standards. Also, it has a good replay value. Just do a totaly different character. When I saw my friend's Toreador hitting on officer Chunk I laghed for 5 minutes....

It's definitely not short...but it was good enough that when it ended I still wanted more. That's a good sign, and yet...it's sad. Need more... =)

The game was long enough. Any longer and it might have gotten tedious (Ming Xiao's HQ was a bit annoying). What we need now is another V:TM game; possibly something with a party of characters, or perhaps a Sabbat game....

Play it again as a Malkavian. I played a Malkie first, my favorite clan. Now trying a Tremere, but it is not as entertaining as a Malk, though it is different. Malkavians do put the twist in the cheesecake.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Even with the extra coolness they put into the Malks its still a lot of the same. I'm not sure if I'll finish it...I wish there were a bunch of clan specific quests as well and a few more goodies for each clan in general to make replay a bit more varied.

There may be "hidden code" as there was in BG2: quests that were never finished but left stuck in limbo. If so, somebody might be able to find it, and mod it into existence. One can always hope. Unfinished Business did that for BG2.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Yeah,
That in my view it is the only thing bad in this Troïka Game...

In Arcanum, the game was changing from you spicies, alignement, and gender...
Kotor was also changing as you play it really Nice or Bad (prefere the 2nd)...
But here it's just fight wich changing...

But I want to make a bravo for the ambiance witch is really incredible of realisme and complexity...

Indeed I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of Clan specific quests, although you do get a couple of nice differences with the Nosferatu and the Tremere.
(Though not much, and none of it makes a difference in the game)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that Dilapidation has moved and is now a part of PlanetVampire.

This not to plug (I would never do that Fable, even though I've been gone a while) another site, I just wanted to help when people were annoyed by the dead links.

I don't know if PV has a good modding com. though.
