Can't install game

Hi my brother just called and apparantly he can't install the game. He can install the first 3 cd's alright but after he inserts the first cd to finish the installation, he gets an error message:

error 1402
could not open key
UNKNOWN\installer\upgrade codes\(then a whole series of numbers)

can anyone help with this problem? thanx a bunch!

nevermind, problem solved. apparantly a registry issue, simple scanreg /fix will do the trick
