Lilarcor Soundset

Post by Xyx »

Lilarcor is so damn funny, I just have to make a soundset out of him. Since we're all so polly lately, I thought I'd post his set up for comments. Note that a number of his sounds are inappropriate for party members, but since most are so funny, I thought I'd just go ahead and post them all. :D
Lilarcor's sound list:
1 I may be an intelligent sword, but I've had no formal edumication. (no)
2 Can we go kill something now, huh?
3 Come on, what about now? No? C'mon, c'mon! I'm getting itchy, let's GO!
4 Come on let's kill something NOW!
5 Wanna go and kill now? Hmm mm mmm hm mm hmmm. Now?
6 C'mon, what about now? Let's KILL!
7 Now? Please, come on. Pretty please!
8 I don't know what you were expecting, but as a sword I'm pretty one-dimensional in what I want. (no)
9 Can we go whack something now?
10 C'mon c'mon, let's go whack something evil.
11 Why don't we kill, er... that over there?
12 Y'know what? Long time ago, yeah, I was like er, a Moonblade. Heheheheh. (no)
13 You really need to clean me. I like to shine! (no)
14 Are we gonna kill something now? C'mon, maybe? Something small... anything!
15 You know, my last owner always said I was sharp and edgy. Heheh. He was such an ass. (no)
16 I don't chop wood, OK? I am not an axe. (no)
17 Now! Now! C'mon, kill something now!! Yeah!
18 Boring. Boring. BorIIING! (definitely)
19 Ohhhhh, c'MON!
20 Russ'em, friggin', shaw'em, rab'em. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon! (?)
21 You deal, I'll cut! Hahaah!
22 Let's see what's inside this one! Yeah!
23 Come get some! Boo-yah!
24 Choke up, dolt, your grip is all wrong! (no)
25 Hands up, kiddies, who wants to die?! (definitely)
26 Mmm, mm! Tastes like chicken!
27 Sissy fighter! You grab, I'll scratch! (no)
28 Muhuhuhuhehehehahahahaha!
29 Hrmpff!) You can't be serious! Hahaha.
30 Ooo, that'll leave a mark!
31 Murder, death, kill! Murder death kill! Mwuhuhahahaha!
32 Who's your daddy!
33 Oooh, throw a coin in that fountain! Hahaha!
34 Are YOU talking to ME?!!
35 Some of my finest work!
36 I'm the best at what I do, and what I do ain't pretty!
37 Yeah! Hit it! Hit it again! (no)
38 I am invincible! Invincible, I say!
39 Hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could dual-wield me? (no)
40 YOINK! Got yer nose!
41 My brother is a +12 Hackmaster! Mhmheh. (no)
42 I love the smell of daisies in the morning!
43 Swing harder, swing harder! Swing harder!! (no)
44 Bring 'em on! I ain't done!
45 Oh yeah!
46 Let's dance!
47 Kill it! Kill it quick before they're all gone! (no)
48 Kill kill kill! Yeah! Cool!!
49 ...and this one's for grandma, who said I'd never amount to anything more than a butterknife!! (no)
50 So, are we gonna... kill something now!?
51 Oh, sure, get me all excited for nothing. So, we going to kill something soon? How about now? No? How about... now? No? Ummm... now? (too long?)
52 Advice, eh? Hmmm. Well, besides working on your swordsmanship. Ya know, besides that, er... I'd have to think. (no)
53 I got it. Oh, I knew I'd come up with something... I'm so sharp. Kill everything! Carnage! Slaughter! Carve your way outta here and I'm gonna sing your praises! Yeahaaah!!" (no)
54 I'm sharp, I can come up with something... OK... find someone who knows what you want to know and threaten to kill them! Yeah! Then kill them! Yeah! Woo-hoo!! (no)
55 Hmmm... find someone rich, and kill them. Then find someone richer, and kill them, too! Hack and slash your way to fortune! Woo-hoo!! (too long?)
56 Hmmm... I think you should sharpen me a bit. I've got more nicks than a Rashemaar ranger's head. (no)
57 I know! Start swinging! Well, eventually you'll lop off the head of someone important, and then the good fights will REALLY start! (no)
58 Oh, there's GOT to be LOTS to kill down here! Just pick a direction and start swinging! Hahahaaah!! (dungeon)
59 I refuse to answer any more questions until I am cleaned and polished thoroughly. C'mon, grab a rag already... (no)
60 Err... umm... find that wizard guy. Yeah, sure! Find him, and kill him. Kill kill kill kill KILL!! Whoo-hoo!! (no)
61 What's my status? Well since when do you care about me unless I'm impaled in something's guts? Oh, well, fine, let me think for a minute... (no)
62 Hmph, uh. I suppose I'm okay. Why? Are we gonna go kill something now? How about now? No? Now... maybe? Grrrrrrrr... (no)
63 I think you need to take better care of me. I've got more chips than a blind beaver... I look like a second-rate pig-poker. (no)
64 I'd appreciate some quality time in my scabbard. Take a break.... Ahhhh, who am I kidding? Attack! Battle! Kill!! Hahahahaaa! This is... (incomplete) (no)
65 Well, er, since you asked, I would like to register a complaint. I want to kill a dragon. Right now. No, don't look; go kill one now. Go find one, and kill it. That's right; kill, now. That would be SO cool." (no)
66 Ooh, I agree with the Rashemaar. Give me to him, willya? C'mon, what a pair we'd make! Oh, me the brains with the edge, him the brawn with the hamster! A legend in the making... (no)
67 You feel lucky, punk?
68 Wanna go kill that over there? C'mon, let's kill somthin'!
69 Swish. Hot butta!
70 Oooh, I'm shaking! HeHaha!
71 Oooh, throw a coin in that fountain! Hahaha!

Wow! Looks good. What a great idea. Can you mingle in some of the grunts and groans from the one warrior sound script from IWD (you know, the one that was all grunts and groans). Some of those were awesome. My vote is for
the battle cry use #22 or #31
becoming leader #36
tired #19
bored = boring boring boring
badly wounded #38
selected 1 - #34
selected 2 - #5
selected 3 - #42
Action ACK1 - #29
Action ACK2 - #28

Just to name a few.

By The Way you COULD use #13, lets say as some romance talk?
It's pretty easy, I mean just go kill a dragon, get laid.

"I never thought it would end like this,
just because I got no ****,
I'll shave my legs and wear a bra,
I'll even cut my p**** off for you."

Now that's a love poem if I ever heard one.

Right, I went and did it, and played with it some time. He's cool; my character now laughs like a madman and won't shut up about killing stuff (which is the way it should be :D ).

Critical Hit and Critical Miss are by far the most heard, so I think I'll switch "Oh, come on!" to Critical Miss.

Rare Select never shows up, and since I play a solo Berserker/Mage, I don't get the Thieving, Leader and Party Member Death quotes either.

This is what I use:
XXXXXXXa.wav : Battle Cry 1
25 Hands up, kiddies, who wants to die?! (definitely)

XXXXXXX8.wav : Battle Cry 2
21 You deal, I'll cut! Hahaah!

XXXXXXX9.wav : Battle Cry 3
46 Let's dance!

XXXXXXXb.wav : Becoming Leader
36 I'm the best at what I do, and what I do ain't pretty!

XXXXXXXc.wav : Tired
19 Ohhhhh, c'MON!

XXXXXXXd.wav : Bored
18 Boring. Boring. BorIIING!

XXXXXXXe.wav : Badly Wounded
38 I am invincible! Invincible, I say!

XXXXXXXf.wav : Selected 1
34 Are YOU talking to ME?!!

XXXXXXXg.wav : Selected 2
6 C'mon, what about now? Let's KILL!

XXXXXXXh.wav : Selected 3
50 So, are we gonna... kill something now!?

XXXXXXX0.wav : Selected 6
2 Can we go kill something now, huh?

XXXXXXXi.wav : Action Acknowledgement 1
48 Kill kill kill! Yeah! Cool!!

XXXXXXXj.wav : Action Acknowledgement 2
45 Oh yeah!

XXXXXXXk.wav : Action Acknowledgement 3

Xyx,

I'd love a copy of the Lilarcor soundset. How should I get you my email address. Also, is it detailed in the SoA rulebook on how to do this? I don't remember and I'm not at home. thanks

Send me a private message with your email, I suppose? I'd have to figure out how to read my private messages, though, so a tip on that would be appreciated. :D

And, yes and no, it is partially detailed how to make a soundset. To be more precise, the ReadMe describes how you must name your .wav files and that you must place all of them in the /Sounds folder. It does not explain how to extract sounds from the game. If anyone is interested, I could give a quick run-down of how I did that.

XyX,

I think the only way to send you a private message is if I can see the option to rate you as a member and that option does not appear under your name. Anybody else add anything here??

I wonder if you could tell me if there is a place where I can download Irenicus' or Melissan's soundset. That would be interesting...

How to send me a private message:

Click the icon above my post that looks like two people standing next to an enveloppe (tooltip should show "Send New Private Message"). Oh, and tell me how to check my private messages. :D

Downloading Lilarcor:

The soundset I made is 3.17MB zipped. It doesn't include some stuff, like thieving acknowledgements. The full Lilarcor soundset (all 70 quotes) is 10.7MB zipped. I don't have my own website and it's too big to upload to BWScript. If anyone knows of a good place to send it to, I'd be happy to do so.

Making your own soundset:

Not that hard, really. :)

Download BiffTool and Windows Front End from TeamBG. Use it to extract all files from NPCSound.bif. Lilarcor's .wavc files are in there; they're all named SSWORDXXXXXX.

Download Game Audio Player (very nice proggie). Use it to extract .wav files from the .wavc files.

Read your BGII ReadMe to see how to make a soundset out of those files.

There you go. B)

@Xyx,

That icon is not present where you said it should be. I see it on other people's posts but not yours. Perhaps you have to edit your profile so you can accept private messages.

Xyx: Go into your profile - the link at the top of the page on the right of the GameBanshee Forums picture. You'll find a list of Private messages, it's below the profile thing and the Rating thing.
To enable other people to send you Private Message - which you need to do Xyx - click on the View/Update Profile. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find an option called: Allow members to send you private messages?, select Yes. Then click the View/Update Profile button at the bottom.
