Having trouble gaining influence when going dark side...(small spoiler?)

Second time thru, first time was light-side--now I'm going to really hurt people. Problem is, that when I have conversations within my party, I try to stay true to my dark-side character, but I continue to lose influence. I'm currently at the ice cap on Telos, and am afraid I'm not going to be able to get the Handmaiden on my side. She is a mighty warrior and would like to see her Jedi skills.

ppsshh, you don't need them to become jedi's i don't have any jedi's on my team and im almost done. And im pure evil
