Can't reach the canalisation

I just started the game, already have the patch and all works fine so far. Until i got the quest Where i need to pass the sewer to reach that Hotel. I tried every single manhole cover i could find but it didn't work. If the way there is different it would be great if somebody could help me so i can continue playing

PS: I often have problems to find the right positions to e.g. pick up items, read news or with the ground door to cellar in the tutorial, maybe my control settings are bad? does anybody know if this is normal? Thanks in advance.

The manhole that leads up to the Ocean House is past a door, which Therese should have given you the key to. Follow the maps on the walls to find the exact location (press the use key when you're near them).

Well, thanks for that. The Problem was i had to place and replace my char for ages to get that symbol i need to press "use" and open it that way. Now i'm in and i fould the exit to the hotel but i can't get out. I'm standing on the ladder, however i place and turn around i won't get that Symbol i need to open it...

Is there a special trick for that? Or is it just me, because i't very hard to get that Symbol in general. Except doors and people, thats easy and fast...

Oh my GOD!!!

All problems cleared. I was angry for 5 hours now that you can't look up/down in that game with the mouse moves, finally i saw how to turn that on. Now everything is easy. Just never seen that before that mouse-look is turned off, lol
