Eternal question -- JaheiraRomance timer stalled (spoilerish)

Sorry to ask another Jaheira romance question, but I couldn't find my particular problem answered anywhere. The JaheiraRomance timer in my game seems to have stalled at a value of 3555955. I am in Chapter 6. I've done most of the side quests but haven't gone after Bodhi yet. Lovetalk is at 65. JaheiraRomanceActive is at 2. My game is at around 90 days. I have Manveru's patch installed. I haven't installed TOB yet.

I've been wandering around outdoors for a few days (a few hours real time) and the next event in the script hasn't occurred. I can force it by setting JaheiraRomance to 1, but then the timer resets and stalls again. Is this the way that the timers are supposed to operate? It seems like it would have counted down at least some during this time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

why?

COS THE ROMANCE HAS ALREADY FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!

if terminsel has come up to Jaheira and given her the Harper pin then it is considered finished.

a setting of 1 means that the romance is still ongoing. 2 means that the romance is FINISHED and 3 means that you f@cked up the relationship.

there, does that answer your question???

Ignoring the reply above (some people's kids, eh?),

There are 2 things you might have missed.

1) You have to do a camp OUTDOORS (not in a dungeon or tavern or City). it will spawn a trigger event where some robbers will approach you upon waking. (hint, submit yourself to take the arrow)

2) You also have to do the Baron Ployer event from the tavern in the docks.

If you missed either of these 2 events, then the romance will stall. If you have had both of these occur, well, still ignore the guy above.

Terminsel hasn't appeared for the second time yet and I can force the next event in the sequence by setting the timer to 1, but thanks for playing.

Thanks for the reasoned reply (unlike some) but I've already completed the bandit event and the Ployer quest as well as the Harper plot events.

Is the problem that JaheiraRomanceActive is set to 2. The scripts only seem to check that it's not 0 or 3, but would a value of 2 cause the timers to lock until some other event is completed?

There don't seem to be anything linked the LoveTalk at 65, the script should set it to 66 when the JaheriaRomance thing become 0. No the JaheiraRomanceActive thing is not the problem, since it should be at 2. Try setting the LoveTalk to 66 and set the JaheiraRomance to 1 again.

Oh yeah, I forgot one other thing.

I just noticed you mentioned that you haven't been to bohdi's lair the second time yet. This may be the issue...

Alot of people mention resetting some pointers in the software using the CLUconsole thing. I never did this. I was able to win the jahera romance without doing stuff like that. I played a game that took about 75 days and won it. The last point of the romance, and where I got to 'share bedrolls' with Jahera, came after i did Bohdi's lair. You see, when you go into the graveyard, Bohdi will take jahera, and when you face her, Bohdi will bite jahera and turn her into a vampire. Well after you beat Bohdi, take Jahera's body, and Bohdi's black heart, back to the Temple ruins. Place Jahera's bod and the heart in the bowl in the statue of amuanator (the one behind the Amuanator floor tile puzzle) to rez her.

After I had done this, then the romance came to it's conclusion (her being so grateful that I had brought her back from the dead, etc etc)...

Maybe this will help. I don't know, but you might want to give it a try. Do a named savegame before doing the graveyard thing, and see what happens.

After you rez jahera, camp out in the temple ruins (above ground)...

Not exactly sure it will do it, but I think it will help.

There are alot of ways to win this thing, but alot of ways to lose it. It's a very tricky romance, as I'm sure you know, but the stuff I mention her helped me to win it, and maybe it will help you too.
