Why halforcs?

I think the answer to the question is that the races weren't chosen from a power-gaming perspective. Dwarves are dwarves and orcs are orcs. They just are (based on a combination of myth and literature) what they are.

So how about dragons who have natural 40's in charisma, wisdom, intelligence, strength and constitution in 3e ? That would translate roughly to 24-25 in 2e.

LOL. Dwarf-Elves would be the funniest thing to ever live. The two races are complete opposites. Same with the Half-Orc-Halflings. Anyways, I want to see a Half-Dragon. That would be interesting to say the least. And it's possible to. Dragons can polymorph into human form can't they? Just look at Firkraag.

Elves and Dwarves hates orcs more than anything, and they dont like eachother either, thats why they wont breed. a Halfdwarf would surely be killed in no time, and halfelves are looked upon with suspicion.

Dwarves rules compared to halforcs. Great saving throws, and there are so many things that gives raised str.

No, but look at history, an elf or dwarf would probably rather die than breed with an orc, and i think such a breed would make no sense anyway. A humanorc would be stronger..

I dont think a dwarf could breed with any other race anyway..

Well the sad thing is that most half-elevs and half-orcs are because either raiding humans or orcs did {you know what}.

Dwarves sometime capture human women to "preserve the race" because there aren't enough dwarf ladies. The result is a taller dwarf.
Elves would never breed with any other race except the few that get seduced buy human women.

Elves are bitter enemies of orcs and dragons, as dwarves are bitter enemies of giants and goblins.
