Zarustha at Ghostgate

Post by The Great Hairy »

Gidday all,

Well, Zarustha has been wandering all over Vvardenfell, mostly talking to nice people and hitting bad people. Or trying to convert them to the paths of niceness.

Currently she's 15th Level, with her STR is 98, PER is 95, INT 72. Got to get my AGL and SPE up, they are both languishing around 50-55. Axe is now 88, Speechcraft 67, Acrobatics 89. Got Enchant to 22 (yay!) and Mysticism to 27. Bought a bonemold bow and have been practicing my Marksmanship (which is at 18 or something horrible).

Zar wandered all over Caldera - finished the haunted house quest for the Imperial Cult, killed the Telvanni agents near the mine, got the first poly-whatsit from the pawnshop owner. Freed all the slaves at Caldera mine (not a quest, but she hates slavery with a passion).

Then I headed up to Ald'ruhn, to finish off some quests there. Delivered a Dwemer book to the head of the Mage Guild (luckily bought in Belmora), checked in with the head of the Fighter's Guild and asked about the latest quests (Zar is getting suspicious of Fire-Eyes and the orc in Vivic - why are they handing out non-Fighter's Guild quests??), started gathering Alms for the Poor for the Imperial Cult (these Dumner are tight nostril-pickers though).

Then I wandered south to the Fort just near Ald'ruhn. Checked the Fort out, but no one needed anything done. Met a lady outside the Fort who asked me to take her to Ghostgate Shrine... Ouch, Ghostgate! Zar's heard nothing but bad things about Ghostgate. She'll admit that she had a couple of nervous moments considering going through the gate... But she can't let a person in need down!

So Zar is currently standing just to the south of the Gate, with her axe tightly gripped in sweaty palms and a dry mouth. She counts her "Cure Blight Disease" potions for the eighth time and gets ready to pass through the gate, with this woman in tow. She's hoping that the Shrine is not too far beyond the gate!

I'll keep you all posted on what happens next. :) (Please keep this thread spoiler free. Thanks.)

Cheers all,
TGHO

Seems like Zarustha is making fine progress then... :)
But after helping her in her mission, perhaps you've come to learn that not everyone in Morrowind is as helpful and curteous as yourself. I helped her once, and after realizing how ungrateful & mean she was, I vowed never to help her again. I haven't since.
At least she doesn't try to kill you, which, at least once, is the thanks you get for helping a damsel in distress...
"Yes. Later on, I'd love to."

Yep, found the altar pretty quickly, without many problems. Got attacked by an Ash Zombie, but he wasn't so tough.

Cheers,

As I recall Ghostgate is quite a good place to train up. I never really liked the place, as whenever I used to go there were always Ash Storms and more cliff racers than you can shake a stick at (not more than you can shake a daikatana at though).

I really dislike escort quests I end up having to walk really slowly as they have a speed of 30 or something - argh - especially the one with the fields of kumnu - however if you do temple missions then you are going there anyway - kumnu and ghostgate are the only 2 out of 7 that are in out of the way places.
