Wings?
I've been working on HotU, beat it a few times, but i have no idea what the wings do when you become a dragon desciple. There is no abbility earned, and i've seen no options to use them. are they just cosmetic or what?
which is why you use a combat oriented bard in place of a sorc.
Yes, but reading the description of the RDD then it kind of indicates that the RDD is for spellcasters and not fighters.
The RDD is great for people multiclassing it into fighters or bards after they reach highlevel. But for spellcasters - sorcerers - it is a fluffclass.
well if everyone just did as "intended", the game wouldn't be any fun now would it?
For battlebards it is good yes - for multiclass with fighters yes. But based on description it is about sorcerers (and bards) unlocking their arcane heritage and embracing it. By becomming fighters
Strikes me as odd.
RDD is fluff for sorcerers in my view. To give the wings

Agreed, it is then better to stay pure sorcerer than becoming RDD, since it isn't worth taking 10 levels only to get 2 charisma and con (the only useful thing they get if you play sorc).
Also IMO the wings look like two big peaces of meat

I agree with you there, seeing I find a lv 21 sorc to be infinately better then a 11th level sorc 10 rdd, which is why you have to look for more usefull things. my bard RDD has 32 strength right now, and with equipment has only 2 stats under 20(int and wis) and i find him almost sickeningly powerfull, but still not to the point my lv 21sorc/4Rdd was.
at high levels, almost nothing can stand against a pure spellcaster.
My point is that RDD, although themed for sorcs, is in game purposes best used in a bard/fighter setup or the like.
I think i'll try mixing them with an assassin for sneak attacks as well, or maybe a shadowdancer.
A champion of torm would be nice as well....
