Well, the good news is that you should still have a copy of Bard's Tale to pass the time, right???
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

Poor poor XtraniuM. I would lend you my copy, but it is too awesome to give up. Since when did Norway become a third-world country?
"But I also made it clear to [Vladimir Putin] that it's important to think beyond the old days of when we had the concept that if we blew each other up, the world would be safe." -President George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., May 1, 2001

mikeheitz--That's just cold. Telling some poor soul who doesn't have Throne of Bhaal yet to go back and suffer through Bard's Tale . . .
Surely he's got Curse of the Azure Bonds or Secret of the Silver Blades to pass the time.

Hey XtraniuM,
Look at it this way... You are MUCH closer geographically to the Swedish Bikini team than I am in Chicago, so I get the game first, since I am pretty much suffering otherwise.
HL Dave... What about the original Pool of Radiance??? Now THERE was a game!

Relative to their time, Pool of Radiance and the other SSI RPGs were the coolest computer games I have ever played in my life. And to think all you needed was a 286 CPU, 4 MB of RAM and 2 5.25" floppy drives (which was still a step up from a Trash-80 or C-64).
You know, I really miss the days before CD-checks . . . like when they came with code wheels and asked you to "translate" various runes from elf to dwarf to prove you actually bought the thing.

MAAAAN, do I miss those code wheels... Things were so much simpler then... Or maybe I am just an old ba$tard!!!

What I remember most was finding a +5 sword in Pool of Radiance (my party was around level 4 or so), never to find one again in all the sequels! It got to the point where you couldn't walk down the streets for five minutes without being jumped by a gang of level 25 Thieves, you would fight half a dozen dragons at the same time, and kill more Drow than the Underdark holds. Still, no +5 or +6 weapons. For that matter, not even weapons with a special ability; just vanilla stuff.
Guess Diablo shook something up there

Hey Xyx,
Did you finish the game Pool of darkness in the pool of radiance series? If you did my room mate has a question about the end that he has been trying to find the answer to for years, but no one seems to know.
He told me in the end of pool of darkness, you are given two choices, one was to ail off to the sunset where you live happily ever after, and the other is to head to this Island and battle though huge amount of nasty creatures, beholders, vampires and such. He said after he headed off to the Island and defeated all these mosters he came upon a door that asked him a question. (It has been so long that he does not remember the question), but try as he did, he could not come up with the correct answer to that question. (Did you come upon this?) And if so were you able to answer and remember the answer to that question? Its been bugging him for years.

Yin and Yang balance. There is one within the other. No Difference in Reality. What do you experience?
Damn... I was hoping to ask someone here that very same thing
Can't even remember the question... Just a maze that teleported you around, and every hallway looked alike And every 5 steps or so you'd be jumped by a buttload of dragons, beholders and shambling mounds.
