When you reach level 17 with a sorceror and have the spells "Imprisonment" and "Project Image" nothing is out of your reach.

I still think that a Fighter/Thief is the strongest. Or, can be if played right. The Thief is just there for the "Use Any Item" stuff, but it's worth it. There was nothing I wasn't able to solo with my last char if I put it that way.

First of all, be immortal. Get 2 ring of Gaxx, high dex and Big Metal Unit. I was down on -22 AC I think. Wasn't hit much. Didn't matter really, regged 0.66hp each second anyway.

Spell immunity is nice as well. 2 Ring of Gaxx together with ending bonus from ToB, Amulet of Power and Carsomyr makes 85% Magic Immunity. Before you get Big Metal Unit you can have the evil armor as well, and you have 105% magical res.

Damagewise, it is enough with the Girdle of Fire Giant Strenght and ToB ending bonus, giving you 24 strenght. That combined with Carsomyr+6 and Greater Whirlwind is hurting. Badly.

Now you're stronger than anything. And pretty much immortal, unless played very foolish. Just for the hell of it you can add some Time Traps, Staff of the Magi for invis, Simulacrum helmet. You can also try Short Sword of Mask+5 and do some serious backstabb damage, or dual wield Flail of Ages in mainhand and Carsomyr in offhand. The damage output is far greater than that with Carsomyr, but you loose 50% magical res and dispell on each hit. And since everything goes down with it, do you really need more damage? ;)

---

An easier, but still very powerful combo is as described here eariler, just make a sorceress, get Robe of Vecna and Time Stop. You should pretty much be able to waste all your memorized spells on the poor fellah that should stand in your way.

---

Otherwise you could cheese your way through the game. Get yourself some Simulacrums and a funny Rift Device, and every battle you'll ever take will be against an enemy with 10% hp. That bad-ass rod is able to punch it's way through any spell resistance and protection ever. Cheese!

Um... As you're a GOD (unless you're one of those foolish, kind peoples) you don't need any. As the only thing able to stand in your way is other Gods, I hardly think a mere bonus to some stat, some experience or some other random bonus will do any difference. :)

And doh. Oops, my mistake. Obviously I was talking about the SoA ending bonus, and maybe-not-quite-as-obviously-but-still-pretty is that I meant to wield Crom in offhand, not Carso. They're so alike ^^
