shapeshifting thaco

I've thought about this a few times but never really covered it. I'm wondering about stacking thaco with shapeshifting.

How exactly does it work? Do thaco enhancing items still count? If so what type of item? Also is your regular thaco without any items a factor?

Hhmmm... I don't know, but it should be easy to find out: just check your thac0 in your character screen, shapeshift into the form you like and check it again! Repeat with/without items that enhance your thac0!

That's all I can come up with, but it's better than nothing I guess...

Unfortunately many times shapeshifting will usually drop your thaco or raise it slightly. Many monsters that you can shift into have their own stats associated with them and you gain those stats (good and bad) more often than not I've noticed that things like the troll and mustard jelly have low dexterity of around 9.

I don't think you use much of you armour or any of your weapons when shapeshifted either unless it's equipped with the off hand.
