Changing Character Portrait

Post by Mageblade »

Hi All:

I just did a PC wipe after getting a bunch of unwanted Spyware and reinstalled Win XP along with NWN. I saved all my saved games, but my character has the "default" portrait now. I still have the custom portrait I had when the game was first installed, is there a way to change my portrait now? Or can it only be done during character creation?

Thanks,

MageBlade

I even tried copying my 64 X 128 portrait into my saved game directory, renaming it "portrait.tga" and starting the game that way, but I still get the shadowed portrait on my character screen and the one in the upper right hand corner. Even though on the saved game screen, where it shows all my saved games, my portrait in the saved game box is the correct one.

Downloading a program such as LETO may help. I don't think there is any way to change it using normal functions.

Tried Leto

Thanks Noober, I tried LETO and I was able to change my portrait from the "shadowy" figure portrait, but unfortuantely, the custom Arcane Archer portrait I had after character creation was not an option :( I'd like to get that portrait back if possible, there seems to be a shortage of good archer portraits in NWN.
