I tried playing the Monk once...the problem was that there are too many sharp things on the ground. ;) :p
I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.

My favorite is monk , and to correct "humanflyz" if you get all the good monk gear and the girdle of frost giant strength the monks max fist damage will be 14-36 with crits up to 72 (those hurt).
I tried the "solo monk" as per the stratagy guide, and when he hit high lvls he was unstoppable.

Final stats

HPS , 125
AC , -9
Magic resist , 83 (93 after tear of bhaal)
damage/round , 14-36 x4
Extra immunities : poison, charm, fear , bonus AC vs missles.

If you havnt play a cha with very high MR then you may not now how overpowering it is.

@Rodo:

If you haven't used the Bard Song, you've missed out a bit of the Bard's greatness, especially that of the Skald. For example, at level 15 the Skald's song gives all your party members the following bonuses:

+ 4 to To Hit
+ 4 to Damage
+ 4 to AC
Immunity to Fear

I believe you get the picture...

Skalds are really good. You can sing you song and get your teamates the bonuses mentionned above and you can cast spells one round on two without interrupting the song's effect.

Try it with bersekers using their Rage ability
Bonuses:
+6 to damage
-6 THAC0
-6 AC
+ 15 HP
Immutnities: Fear, Hold, Maze, Charm, Imprisonement, Stun and Sleep

Youy can only imagine what would happen if you had the idea of casting Haste...

And if you can use abilities (in ToB) like Greater Whirlind while in Rage... :D

I think the Ranger Archer and Thief Assasin are the most fun classes to play, even if they certainly are not the most powerful. Only problem with the archer is the amount of arrows you have to carry around all the time

I take it you also prefer your archers equipped with the long bow? To me, short bows are for thiefs and small humanoids.

- Hide in Shadow
- Turn Undeath
- Racial Enemy
- great Weapon Profs.
