On marriage and related things

I have a number of questions on this subject:

Is it always necessary to marry someone before you bed them?

What are the main benefits of being married, apart from being able to go to a black screen and hear interesting noises?

What are the best ways to get your wife to invite you to bed? are some gifts better than others? are poses simply enough? how important is attractiveness/scariness?

Which women give the best dowry and/or sex?

Is it possible as stated in early promo material to sire children?

After the first time you have sex the woman usually says something like "short but sweet". do her comments and the sound effects during the act change and get more interesting as your experience goes up?

if you give your wife gifts on a daily basis, eventually you will receive gifts back from them... make sure to give them varying gifts, for instance 1 Jet, 1 Sapphire and 1 Ruby

shouldn't matter what you give them or how many poses you do... just try a bit of variety, hang around long enough and you'll be in bed soon enough

the average dowry is 2000 Gold... you won't receive any Gold if you decide to marry a bloke, which is a bit stupid really but hey...

later in the game you'll get the chance to marry Lady Grey, the Mayoress of Bowerstone... marry her as you'll recieve a whopping 15,000 Gold! =)

personally i've never had a child with any of my wives throughout my Fable games, maybe if you hang around long enough this might happen? although i haven't heard anything about fathering a child =|

they're a bit repeatative really... "ohh you are norty!" is one of my favourites! =) but don't get your hopes up lol =)

ok, now what about booze? how is a drunk wife different than a sober one?

What happens when 2 wives meet, say if you get a wife in bowerstone south to follow you over to north and meet lady grey?

sorry for all the ?s, but does anyone know what happens if you don'y marry Lady grey, but you marry the woman in the courtyard that comments on each step of your courtship. I know that after you defeat thunder, she asks to marry you, but I wanted the gold, so I said no. I'm betting there is some sort of bonus if you take the high road.

if you get your wife drunk, you won't be able to have sex with them... but some of the things she'll say are quite amusing...

sadly, wives aren't able to leave the town, not in my game anyway... last time i had a wife in every town, the only thing that happens, is if you don't spend enough time with them you get divorced... that's it really...

if you marry the woman in the courtyard, it's just the same as marrying a normal villager... no bonuses, no hidden stuff, no nothing...
